Default Purple Tape Residue

I was really excited to use Purple Tape. It worked great for a while, but on the last two cards I made, after die cutting some stamped images, I noticed that it left a sticky residue on the paper. I was able to get it off, but now I'm leery to use the tape again. Did I do something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem?

I have noticed if you run it through a die cut machine, the pressure involved can make it very difficult to remove. I'd guess thats what happened here. I always try to have the tape just on the die, and any excess on the waste part of the cardstock. Hope that helps.

Use a heat tool on the tape before removing it from the paper and it will melt the adhesive enough that you can peel it off without any residue.

I always felt any tape I'm using on my clothes first before using it. I've been caught out a few times and it's very frustrating.

Maybe stick it to your jeans a couple times to lower the adhesive first?

I use my EK Success adhesive remover to remove any residue that is left after I've run a project through my die-cutting machine with Post-Its or washi tape.

There is a new lo-tack purple tape out, as well - just thought I'd mention it. I believe SSS has had it, don't know about other sites.

A product called un-du also removes glue. Cardstock will be wet for a few seconds, but dries without any staining.

You dont like to use washi tape? I just use cheap stuff in clearance bins. I still stick it to my jeans...I find the pressure of the big shot does seem to make any tape stick more.
