I really, really want to add gridlines to the base of my Tim Holtz stamp positioner (which I love!!!), and watched a few YouTube Tutorials for a DIY method - both of which involve purchasing specialty transfer paper and either printing off a gridline template.
Frankly, I would much rather purchase one ready-made, or some sort of an adhesive gridline I could stick to the base. I do not want to mess around with that because I am concerned I couldn't get the gridlines to print exactly to standard measure (and I'm picky about those things!) and I don't want the hassle of trying to obtain the transparency paper I'd need to do so... both options I watched involved using double-sided sticky tape to adhere it in the end, after all...
Does anyone know of anything out there I could buy to accomplish the end goal of adding gridlines to the base of my positioner?
Thanks in advance for your time!
Cheers,
Chrissy

I did the same thing and works pretty well. I had gotten ink on it and wiped it off with stamp cleaner while cleaning a stamp, and it took the grid lines off lol, so beware of that potential issue. Maybe it was just the brand I happened to buy. No problem wiping it with water though.
I was also thinking of covering some graph paper with clear shelf liner or adhesive backed film.
I took my very sharp "paper piercer" tool and a non-slip ruler and scribed into the bottom of my blocks (square, rectangle, and round) the center line, and then the added grid lines at 1/2 inch from the center to the edge on each side if that makes sense. Looks like a checkerboard now. No printed lines to have to worry about losing, and you can see perfectly where the bottom of your sentiments, and images are. You do have to have a pretty non slip surface (the webbed cabinet shelf liner) under the block while scribing or the block slides around. Hope this helps-it works great for me!
auntiof8 - I'm not sure I trust myself with something that sharp for that long! LOL (nor am I confident I could mark it at the correct measurement everywhere) I really admire your idea though - I bet the end result is not only functional, but beautiful!

Lots of people have been using the Sticky Grid Sheets from Sizzix,as they have grid lines marked, but are also tacky enough to hold your cardstock in place better than magnets.
