Default Cuttlebug/Nestabilities Compatability

After having seen oodles of samples using the Nestabilities dies, I have to add some of these to my collection. I own the Cuttlebug and have read Ellen's review on compatability. She warns that though they are compatable, it make break my B plate. She also mentions needing to shim with some extra paper.

My questions:
Have any other Cuttlebug owners used the Nestabilities?
If so, have your plates broken?
Are the papers you use to shim ruined or reusable?
Is the whole process convenient or a hassle?
Do you have a lot of slipping such that you recommend the magnetic mat, or is that just an added convenience item?

Any input would be appreciated. Though I really want the Nestabilities, I don't want product I will rarely use because it will damage things or be a hassle, nor am I in a position to buy the Wizard.

Thanks in advance for the information!

I have them both and they work great together. In fact I can get the Nestablilities to cut 2-3 pages of card stock at one time and like 4 pages of the DSP. I used them both to die cut those magnet sheets as well. LOVE THEM!

BTW, your plates will eventually break when you use them A LOT, I have broken ne but it was REALLY used. I do not have the magnet plate, I dont shim with paper. I use the C plate and a B plate. That is it! The more paper I cut at once the less of an impression it leaves on my B plate though...HTH!

My questions:
Have any other Cuttlebug owners used the Nestabilities? All the time.
If so, have your plates broken? No more than when using the CB dies. I did just get 2 additional B plates (with a coupon) to dedicate to the NB dies.
Are the papers you use to shim ruined or reusable? Completely reusable, they sit under the plate.
Is the whole process convenient or a hassle? No more so that using it for regular CB dies.
Do you have a lot of slipping such that you recommend the magnetic mat, or is that just an added convenience item? No slipping, yet. Although I am looking in to magnetic mat just to see how it works.

My answers are within your text. This might be better suited in the Tool Talk forum, mods?

If so, have your plates broken? Not yet!! I do have a slight impression on one of the plates, but my guess is that this will happen with cuttlebug dies too
Are the papers you use to shim ruined or reusable?Totally reusable, I just keep my shim paper in with my plates so it is ready to go
Is the whole process convenient or a hassle?well, right now it is still a learning process, so a little hassle (in remembering my layers for cutting vs embossing) but really, not bad!!
Do you have a lot of slipping such that you recommend the magnetic mat, or is that just an added convenience item?haven't tried the magnetic mat...as far as slipping, a couple of times, but I think that was user error as I MOVED the plates

I'm not an expert...but maybe that is good!! If I can use it and get it to work, ANYONE can!!!

I posted a thread here yesterday too.
Nestablilities, Cuttlebug Sandwich for cutting.
I had great luck using the tan wizard charm embossing kit mat under the B plate instead of the C plate. The die did not stick at all to the upper B plate.
