The screw is a bit tricky. Mine came out a couple times before I turned it in there *hard*.
Lezzels, the Sizzlets will only cut cardstock, not anything thicker. Sorry.
Hey amy yeah I know they dont cut anyting thicker than cardstock ......my query was that Im not getting through with the card stock or paper ... and would I need to use the thicker plate ....... some cut but most no way
Sometimes you have to add a "shim". Try one thickness of lightweight cardboard, like a piece of cereal box. Place it outside of any of the plates, not near your cardstock or the die. That may "fatten" your sandwich enough.

But I don't get a clue out of it... Does anybody know how to use it, i mean how to get a photo corner out of it?

AS far as I know, no store will take a competitors coupon that you print yourself. But I could be wrong??

Is this the DIE (cutting) or the folder (embossing)?
Provocraft had an interesting tutorial on their site for the folder - I don't have it, so can't comment on it working or not...
Okay! I typed all that and I'm gonna leave because it may help someone LOL but after a quick search at PC - I think this isn't what you're talking about! I'll see if there's anything else (I'm such a dork!)

Hey Gretchen/Tammy or other Bug Ladies... anybody have the 'ribbon photo corner' die? Somebody's trying to figure out how it works over on the CB FAQ thread... I thought I had the answer until I realized I have the wrong item!

For all of you who like to use Sizzlits dies, sizzix.com is having a 75% off sale. The alphas that are already on sale for $75 come out to $45 when you enter the coupon code. I ordered the Best Friends Forever alpha set.
I was just happy to get it at that price. I dont think I could bring myself to paying full price at $149 ;)
Can anyone tell me if their bug waddles when its not suctioned down?
Mine doesnt sit firmly on the desk when the sides are closed.
hmmmm never noticed mine doing that before. it does it on all surfaces? (that is, it isn't the desk?) As long as it stays suctioned when you use it, maybe it's not an issue?

I had not noticed it before but last night I took it out to the dining room table and the suction did not work as good out there as it does on my desk.
Thats when I noticed that with the sides up it waddles.
It does the same on my desk. As soon as I raise the sides you can see that it lifts up a little and if touched, it waddles.
I just bought the bubbles embossing folder, I've used it quite a few time this weekend already on blog challenges and Hubbys' birthday card, I love it!

I was referring to the die. I have think I have figured it out. You fold the ends over diagonally where the slit is so that they go on the back of the photo and all that shows is the triangle middle or the open triangle border depending on which you use- it punches both at the same time. I hope that helps someone else from taking the time to sit down and figure it out- assuming I am correct!!
Okay, can't seem to fin this anywhere, but does anyone know if the cutting dies such as concentric hearts and ovals, or the square frame set can be used to cut a whole image (i.e. the larget oval size as a solid oval, or the largest heart as a solid oval) or are they like frames only? Does this make sense? I want something with a larger solid heart like in the concentric hearts set, but I wasn't sure if it would cut it as a solid or just a frame. Anyone know? Thanks for your help!
Use the link at the bottom of the thread to see the dies.

Im going to go broke if I keep reading all the posts on here!!
That actually looks like a great concept. I was pricing punches and they sure do add up quick.
when embossing shaps do you cut the shape first then emboss or emboss cs then cut the shape you want????? all input gratefully accepted
Depends which paper cutter I have out. If using my Fiskars trimmer, I cut first. My Tonic cutter is a bit more forgiving and will allow me to cut embossed cardstock. Don't forget that cardstock can "shrink" slightly when it's embossed.
I'm completely new here... saw this site while researching Cuttlebug. I did want to tell ya'll that Crazyscraps.com has the C'bug for 59.99 with 4 embossing templates, + 1 die, + FREE shipping! I've been researching for days and thats the best deal I've found!
Yes - I just ordered my cuttlebug from www.crazyscraps.com about 2 weeks ago. I got it for that price, plus the free diecut and 4 embossing plates and free shipping. It is a great deal and the delivery was excellent. I got mine in about 1 week after I ordered it.

I think you could do it either way. On another line of thought, I've seen where people have stamped on the background and then run that through with one of the large A2 folders. That looks pretty cool.

WOW! That is a fabulous deal. I purchased mine at Michaels for $40 with a coupon, and I thought that was good. I guess it depends on what the dies and folders are, since they don't tell you what they are. I found some great deals on ebay for the dies, the 2 X 2 with four dies, for $5 - now that was a great deal to me considering they are selling in the store for $17.99. When you are on a budget it is very important to do some research! TFS the info.!

Thanks for the heads up. I have been on the fence for a couple of months, looking for the best deal. I went for it and ordered from this site! Thanks!

Are you using the right plates with it? Like the 2 B-plates ands the A-plate at the same time and the embossing folder is in between the B plates which sets on top of the A plate.
It should be:
A-plate on the bottom
1st B-plate
the embossing folder
2nd B-plate and then put it through the bug and you should have a beautiful piece of embossed cardstock.
If you are following that, what kind of paper are you embossing? Is it cardstock, vellum, or designer paper? They should all work fine except for the vellum. It works, but you have to use the cardstock vellum or else it rips.
If that still isn't it, are you using cuttlebug embossing folders or a different brand?
Thats all I can think of.
