I found a great cut file for a toolbelt and tools. It had a screwdriver, wrench, level, tape measure, and hammer with a toolbelt that had 3 pockets and a place to hang the hammer.
I LOST IT!!!!!
:(
Does anyone know where I could find it again? I can't seem to remember the cart it used either.
Also, is there a cricut cart or cut file for a graduation cap (mortar board)?
Thanks.
i'm glad you asked this one, cause i'm starting to do a scrapbook(yes it's at the last minute and he graduates this year!!! thank ya lord!!! lol) and i do remember seeing one on a cartridge, but dont remember the name so i will research it for the both of us, lol.......if you were local to me i could tell you the scrapping place that has a bunch of "localized"(names of schools and such...) named scrap paper and mascots in die cuts.

i just found this link!! i havent downloaded it yet and she says she made it with design studio, but i'm going to ask which carts she used to make just so i know for my own future reference....
okie dokey, i found the cap(graduation) with tassel on "wild card" cartridge....i cant seem to find a large enough pic so i can see if the gown is there also......

sorry for the many posts..just found the graduation gown. it's on paper dolls everyday cart. so if you have design studio and put in key words in the search thingie, it will show you....but you know what this means right?? i have to go buy these carts, lol..... well gosh darn, lol
Paper dolls is a must have! It has so many "hidden" images! Just be sure and use real dial size if you are cutting out just the accessories and aren't fitting them to a doll or you will get a way smaller cap.
I really haven't even looked at it. But now I will. Are you talking about Accessories 1 & 2? Looking at the book just now I can see some things I can use. Thanks so much
Mommarocks!! Yes you do rock!!! Thanks for researching that for us! I do not have paper dolls either. Maybe I should invest. Thanks for the tip Laurie!
Well Mommarocks, I am in South Alabama, so unless you are local to that, I am out of luck in the paper dept. Thanks again!
I am still bummed about the toolbelt and tools. That was such a GREAT masculine item. I coordinated it with sentiments such as, Thanks for the hard work, You hit the nail on the head, Love beyond measure, Thanks for healping me out of a tight spot, you hit the nail on the head, and you came, etc. These sentiments are found in the Totally Tool Stamp Set from STampin' Up!
I guess I will just be stuck with the stamp set. Thanks again!!!

i'm still on the hunt for my son's school mascot paper...sighs.....
i hope to play this weekend, i'd really like to do some more valentine cards with the cart......i'll see if everyone else in my household will just co-operate....lol
i heard the cricut can make stamps now?? im not sure if i read it right a joann
i've heard this too and if i remember correctly it talks about it on the introduction to the cricut on their website(or was it the disc that came with the cricut...) i do remember seeing it though....if anyone has done this please tell us how, lol....that would be too cool......

i meant to ask the other day, and take this into account that i'm exhausted when i ask this...lol....what does "cut file" mean?
you are awesome!!! i watched all three and my question is this.....(ok, actually two questions...lol) how much does this stuff run?(the clear stuff to make the stamps) and does my local HL carry it? lol.....
i did notice one thing, so if anyone knows the answer.....how does this stuff work on making detailed stamps? i saw that there was snowflakes that was done, but only the one was done with very little detail.....
I'd like to know the answer to this one too! Does anyone know how well the clear stamp stuff that Provocraft sells works for making detailed stamps? I bought the kit a year ago and haven't tried it yet, because I don't want to waste it on something that every stamp company has or something it can't cut.

I have seen it in stores, but I've also seen (and bought) off-brands online (much cheaper). I think I've seen the Cricut stuff at HL.
I've actually done a review of this on my blog. The more detailed stamps are more difficult to deal with.
Shell and to all, not sure which or even where I saw it but one person said to get a better image apply versa mark first then your color to the stamp. This is suppose to make a much clearer and richer colored image. She compared using and not using the Versa mark and it clearly made a difference.
I am posting this suggestion because I notice Shell mentions a "con" being you might not get as clear an image as you wish. So I am thinking this idea might help. Let me know what you think.
I am new to this and have the original Cricut and was wondering if I could use the deep cut blade with it to cut out chipboard ect? If so, were you pleased with the results? I have been reading through posts and have seen something about the multi cut button? Is this on the expression? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
I bought the deep cut housing and blade and I found it to be no better at cutting cereal box thickness cardboard that the normal blade. I did find though that if you have the housing arrow on number 6 (this makes the blade go deeper/longer) it works wonderfully I wish I'd saved my money. (my normal blade housing usually sits on 5)
This is my opinion only

i thought the same thing too until i realized it works much better if you(and i think the demo for the cricut, the one with the two ladies in it...)use the "multi-cut"(is that the right name for it, i cant think right now...lol, sorry) button pushed too also when you're cutting with the deep cut blade doing chipboard. i used this using the "thick" chipboard i got from HL. granted it didnt "cut" all the way through, but it allowed you to barely push on the shape to get it out......i found the less thicker chipboard was too flimsy(i may have had the settings wrong too when i was playing with this at first....)....

Alas I only have the baby bug, as far I know I don't have multi cut or not one I've seen or at least used.
When I bought my bug 3(?)yrs ago it was new in Australia and it cost me $600, the expression was not heard of and even now here the expression is $700 the baby $400 I'd LOVE the expression esp now there are a rainbow of colours but can't afford it, if I buy cheap ex overseas the postage is a $ burner LOL so for me it's the baby for now and I dream on LOL I do buy other stuff OS though so I guess it evens out.

Great idea! I will have to check that out. I thought that rubbing it with a small piece of sandpaper might help a little, too.

Yes, you can use the blade and blade assembly with the original. I have a review of that on my blog, too .....
someone said she was disappointed in the deep cutting blade and said having her blade on #6 cut just as well. I always cut on number #6, 2 multi-cuts and on a cut with detail I'd probably set it with 3 cuts.I also have my speed at 2 to give the blade a chance to cut.I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but hate to have to cut them again with an exacto knife. I have very little patience.
And thanks everyone, the info I get from you is invaluable.
I bought Design Studio just so I can weld. That way I don't have to mess with fussy little things.
I wash my mat with a mild detergent which it makes it sticky again. I talked to a women at ACMoore, she said she uses her mat all the time and has had it for 2 years and she's just now thinking about replacing it. What do you think about that. I got mine on 1/11/10 and I'm thinking about it.
