Question Scrapbooking paper saving template

I am having a Scrapbooking stamp camp next week and wanted to give everyone who attends a Paper Saving Template, I ordered them, and now I can't figure out how or what to use them for. Could someone explain ??

It took me a while, but this is what I figured out. If you follow the directions on the template, you will be marking the 4 corners to make a rectangle outline on your 12X12 cardstock. If you cut out this rectangle, you can place an 8 1/2X 11 sheet of cardstock over the opening and then use the cut out piece of your 12X12 for matting photos etc. on your scrapbook page.

You can also use the backside and again place a 81/2 x 11 piece over that hole. Two 12x12 scrapbook pages using one 12x12 sheet of cs.
