Default Technique Card Ring question...

Last week I was reading about this great idea of Kim Wilson's with the Technique Card/Cardstock Swatch Rings. I loved the idea and plan on taking advantage of it this month. My question is when you mount the instructions and ATC on the 1/4 piece of cardstock, is that 1/4 of a 12 x 12 or 1/4 of a
8 1/2 x 11? Also, I've never made ATCs...what size do they measure.

Thanks!

It is a 1/4 of an 8 1/2 x 11 for Kims technique cards, I make mine a little smaller. You can make them any size you like, as long as you keep them all the same. My local stamp store does 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 ATC's. This does seem kind of small though, I thank I have seen them larger. You may want to see if anyone else gives you a size that everyone uses. This way, if you trade outside of your group, they will be the same size as other peoples.

ATC's are 2.5 x 3.5, and I think the 1/4 sheet refered to is 1/4 of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, this gives you enough room on the side to place the typed directions. The one girl that told me she was doing this said she did it on a different color of card stock so that if you came long enough you had a sample of every color of card stock..thought this was a cool idea. You can get 10 ATC's out of one sheet of paper, cut on the 2.5, the 5 inch and then the last piece should be 3.5, now take the pieces that are 2.5, cut them at 3.5 and the piece that is 3.5 wide, cut it at 2.5, you will have 10 cards. These are great, I just did a swap for an A to Z swap using these cards, nice to have different techniques in a small size!
HTH!
You can google ATC and scrapbooking and find quite a few results, on here, you will want to type out Artist Trading Card as ATC is too short a search on Splitcoast.

Here is the page that shows how to cut them, as I described
Cutting Diagram for Artist Trading Cards
Hope this helps for those visual type people!
