Default Technique question about a card in the gallery

Good Morning Everyone,

I just saw a snowman card in the gallery by JBalcer. It is so cute. I am wondering what the rock n roll technique is?

Thanks!
Teresa

Default rock 'n roll

Hi:
I know what that technique is.
You would use your little shapes set for the larger circle and possibly the simply circles set for the smaller circle.
Rather than inking the whole stamp, you simply ink up the outer edge.
You hold the stamp at a sharp angle and tip it so that only the outer edge of the rubber gets inked. That gives you an image of only the outside of the circle.
Practice a few times on scrap paper. Good Luck.
Carol

Thanks Carol! I have never tried this before. I am getting together with my friend today and thought we would give this a try.

Thanks again,
Teresa

Yep - that's how ya do it! Check out JulieHRR's card in the Simply Circles, gallery, too. I loved hers! Since I had a BUNCH of women doing it at a 10 for $10, it got WAY simplified. . .

I have a card in my gallery:

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

that uses this technique with a square stamp. It really gives a nice effect!
