you might check out this site http://melinda.winchell.com/ttpcast.html

I understand you can also use things like candy molds to make castings but haven't tried it.

I did this at a camp awhile ago. We just made about 6 layers of TP (any kind), got them wet, pressed against the side of the sink to get out most of the water. Lay that on your stamp (rubber side up), then press it down onto the stamp and into the design. You can use a sponge to help with this. If you want to tear the edge of the TP, it seems it was easier while it was on the stamp, where you can press it down and hold it while you tear it. Then CAREFULLY peel it off and lay on the counter to dry. Looks really neat if you color it with chalks when it's done.

I did this a few years ago with layers of wet toilet paper in a ceramic cookie mold. You have to leave the mold to dry overnight. I did think of using the microwave, but never actually tried it.
A friend did this with an angel cookie mold and covered her entire tree with large white angels. I did a gingerbread house cookie mold; colored it with chalk like Jodi said (above). I bet you could experiment with glitter and paint too -- just have to be careful about the amount of moisture.

Smile Gingerbread house

I just uploaded an image to my gallery. After reading the Jodi's answer, I want to look over my rubber stamps to see if I have something suitable for making Christmas cards.
This cookie mold is way too big (in my opinion) for a really nice card.

Check out the arnoldgrummer webpage. I have bought some arnoldgrummer paper casting molds in Michaels. They are lovely, and color well with pastels. I also have the arnoldgrummer papermaking kit. It's great to make my own paper using SU scraps.

Here's a Carol Duvall segment that uses TP casting:
