Default Shaker Card help

This is a stupid question but I have to admit I haven't made a shaker card.

I had a customer ask what is the best adhesive to use. She went to a workshop with another demo and was told she had to get the adhesive from Michael's becasue Stampin Up didn't have anything that would work. Is this true?

Thanks,
Anna

Are you looking for the adhesive for the transparency to be placed on the cs? If so then I usually use O'So Sticky (or any red line) tape to adhere it. As for the actual shaker box being adhered to the cs ... you need to use the 3M foam tape 1 or 2 layers thick depending on the look you want. You put the 3M tape around the complete edges of the "window" opening then pour your "shaker" material in there. Peel the backing off the tape and adhere the cs.

Hope this helps ... this is the way I do mine ... not sure if there are other ways of doing it.

It was shown at convention using the leftover edges from the dimentionals. The straight line works great! I think they said a pack of dimentional leftover edges makes 6 shaker cards. Anyone out there know the actual facts?
Hope this helps. But I also use other foam tapes.

I have used the dimensionals and they work wonderfully. One good tip is to keep the backing on until you have filled up your shaker.

I can't remember the actual facts either at this moment. They are not as hard to make as you would think. Once you make one you will be ready to do more. Have Fun! HTH some at least.
