Default Modge podge help

I'm going to make the advent calendar shown on the resources page. I read on comment that indicated she had put modge podge on it to keep it from wearing. I've never used modge podge but have been googling it but can't find the answer to my specific question....can I adhere my papers to the canvas using regular adhesive and then when all my little squares are down, can I modge podge the whole canvas? Or do I have to use modge podge as my adhesive? TIA

If you're coating the final project in Mod Podge, then you should also use it as your adhesive -- otherwise, you run the risk of bubbles or wrinkles.

I agree you need to use as both. I made the advent and sticky tape didn't work. It kept coming off the canvas. I will try and use mod podge

I use Yes! paste that someone on here recommended and I love it. You get less paper wrinkles. It's kind of pricey, but I got it at Mike's with a coupon. After it is dry and I am sure that my paper is sticking, I cover it with 2-3 coats of Modge Podge or Aleene's Instant Decoupage.

Can you tell me what the name of the paste is that you are referring to.
Thanks!

"Yes" is the name of it. I use it myself and love it. I bought mine at Michaels with a coupon.
