Default 3D Christmas Trees

HOW are people doing these three-dimensional trees that pop out of the fronts of cards? Thanks in advance!

Can you give more details--maybe point to a picture?

Could it be the Sizzix die cut that pops out when you open it?

Like Ann said there is a sizzix die that makes a pop up Christmas tree that goes inside a card. SU sells it but I don't know if it is an exclusive.

Or there is an origami Christmas tree that you can put on the front of your card. Here is an example of one I made

Let me know if that is what you want and I will try to find the video tutorial.

Oooo -- I love the oragami tree mnfroggie! If you can find the instructions, that would be GREAT.

The original one I saw is probably the sizzix die cut, but I have to find the link.

Default 3D Christmas Tree

You don't need to buy the die to make a pop up tree.

Here are my directions for the 6-part trees I put in my Christmas card last year:
http://extremecards.blogspot.com/200...-tutorial.html

There is a cutting file (svg) available here for the 10-part trees, which resemble the Sizzix one:
http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewt...22&hilit=craig

You can also hand cut them. I probably hand cut this tree 5 or 6 times when I was working on the pattern. I wouldn't want to hand cut 100, but a couple is no big deal.

You can also buy a rubber stamp version from Some Assembly Required.

Wow Carol! This is amazing! I had no idea this was out there, thank you so much for sharing it with us on your blog. I couldn't afford the die and I didn't know if I could sit down and figure how do it from scratch. I didn't even know that Some Assembly Required existed. I will definitely be trying to make a pop up card now!
