Default magic mesh substitute

Does anyone know if this substitute is acid free? I'd hate to recommend something that would destroy someone's scrapbooking pages.

Default Dry wall tape

Beverly,
I have to admit that I can't say for sure if dry wall tape is acid-free. I have only used this material as a substitute for magic mesh when making cards. Although I would want my homemade card to last a lifetime, I would be a lot less devastated to have a card destroyed than I would to have a scrapbook page with photos damaged...

My guess would be that dry wall tape isn't safe for scrapbooking. But that is only a guess.

Sorry!
