Laura- I have a Paper template that I use and copy every time I use it, but don't know how to explain it very well to you! First of all, alternate the lengths. Use a long one, short one, long one, short one, etc. The angle would need to be about 45 degrees, but you can do that by eyeing it up. Take a regular piece of paper folded in half and cut as long as a regular card front. It doesn't have to be as wide, just as long. Then, with a sharpie mark lines so that you have approximately 12 marks on it. I would say do an inch, then a half inch long, alternating. They should be about 3/8" apart. Practice cutting that and folding that until you find a length you like, and then copy it. That's why you use a sharpie, by the way, and a regular piece of paper. You can see through the paper to draw along the original lines that you just cut, because the sharpie is still there and you can see through the computer paper. Okay, so now you've got a template you drew yourself and you place it over a piece of of folded cardstock. Use white the first time or cream and try the following: Place a scrap piece of cardstock the SAME length or longer than your card front along where the longest line will end. Hold your cardstock there and sponge the inside of that. You'll have to do it on both the front and back size of the outer, then turn to the inside and do another color. Then, when you place your template and cut it, after it's folded you'll have two colors in the lattice, and it will be "Wow!" I wish I knew if I could to a tutorial, I could show you SO much easier! I hope this helps. If you want to PM me, feel free, or email me at
