Default foil embossing

I have seen several cards in the gallery that are foil embossed. Can someone explain this technique to me. What kind of foil do you use?

there was a thread that explained this today..di not remember where ...sorry
you use a disposable pie plate or heavy duty foil folded and a stylus it sounds pretty easy, especially ti get that super result... If I find the yhread I 'll post it here...

I remember seeing those directions too here a day or so ago. I think you stamped on the pie plate with staz on and then used the stylist?

If you go to splitcoast challenges the directions are under tlc 21. It explains how to use it two different ways.

Okay, I checked out the thread that was posted above and I've read thru this thread, and I have a silly question... When using the heavy duty foil, does it go shiny side out or shiny side in, or is it just a matter of preference? Just wondering what you ladies think...
