The only thing i don't see is rubbing alchol- I wipe mine down with alchol to get the dust and grime off. Other than that i think you are good to go!;)

Looks great to me! Just in case you don't know, petal point chalk pads also work very well for this. As does pearl ex and future floor polish or lumiere to color.

                          Default Tiles and Magnets

Today I made a few tiles to use as message boards and after stamping with Stazon, coloring with Fabrico markers and letting that dry for a while, I sprayed a few coats of Matte finish outside on the deck. Nice hot day with a little breeze. It was very dry and then we began writing and rubbing off the writing .......works just wonderfully and my grandkids were thrilled! Now I read that it should be left overnight to dry. Is that necessary or are we OK to use them so soon? The stamping did not rub off at all and the message boards are really neat!

I am getting ready to do tiles and coasters at my Stamp Camp. If you are only using Stazon there is really no need to even heat set. I made several samples and one I didn't like so I tried to soak it in bleach. After several hours it is only barely faded!! I think the tiles are somewhat absorbent and sealing them can effect that. My sample used pastels so I did end up sealing mine. We are also doing memo tiles that are ceramic tiles, 6x8 inches. I stamped Toile Blossoms in black Stazon and then added color with a blender pen and pastels. I covered just the image with CE to seal it and it came out gorgeous. Have fun with your projects

When using CERAMIC TILES, heat setting keeps the staz-on from smearing when you color with pencils and blender pen. If you really scrub at the tile, even after heat setting, the staz-on will come off. I think ceramic tiles are probably best used for magnets, as I haven't seen any tips on how to make the image waterproof. Has anyone had luck with ceramic tile?

I did GLAZED tiles. Yeah, scary.

White. Made sure they were clean. Stamped in StazOn, colors, sunflowers. No coloring needed.

The first time, I did not heat set. Let them dry, sprayed witih Fixatif. Send them off to sister. A few months later, she wiped one clean! Nothing toxic, just a good wipe cos it had got dirty. No more sunflower.

So I made her a replacement (I had scanned it). This time I heated it before I sealed it.

I also redid the tile she sent back to me - cleaned it off and restamped. Then I heated it but apparently there was still sealer around the edges, because it sort of browned. Which is not a bad idea if you want a weathered look.

So now I heat set before I seal it.

I got some tumbled tiles, and plan to follow the same general plan.
