Default what size tiles do you use???

I was just wondering what size tiles everybody uses for making magnets, trivets, coasters, etc...I bought a sheet of 2x2 tiles at lowes on clearance and I'm just wondering what to do with them!! I've never done anything with tiles so this is all new to me!! TIA!!!

Oh I wish I could get tiles. They only order what you want up here. UGH! Hopefully, I can get to Juneau or Anchorage this fall when I do school shopping and I can sneak a box of 2x2 and 1x1 in w/out my dh finding out. lol

The larger tiles make great coasters and trivets. The smaller ones are much better for magnets and pins. A friend off another site used tiles she stamped to do her kitchen and bathroom backsplashes. Load of work but really great look.

Default I just used the 2 x 2 tiles for magnets.

Just play with your stamps first before you stamp on the tile to make sure they fit. The smaller stamps from All Cheer I, II & III work nicely on these, as do the stamps from Tags & more and mini medleys. There's a bunch that will work, but then & again, there are a bunch that you think will work and they barely fit when you line them up on the stamp, so playing with them before stamping with the Stazon is important.

Don't forget, if you use your stampin pastels on them or paint with a classic pad, using the watercolor effect, you MUST seal them so the color doesn't come off.

HTH,
Cindy

P.S. I've been DYING to get my hands on some travertine tiles to make some coasters, but they don't keep them in stock up here. I'm going to have to travel to the big city to find them. GOTTA make some coasters...That's what I'll be using for some of my Christmas presents this year.
