I ordered 10 packs and have received my notice to go pick them up. . . will get them later today. I hope to be one of the lucky ones who actually gets them!!!!!!
I picked up my 50 composition books just before noon. At first the young man brought out 10, but I showed him my printout and explained that it should be 10 pack of five (50 books). He brought the manager over and he okay it. What a deal! I hope others have the good fortune that I did. Pam
p.s. Another customer commented that I must do a lot of writing. lol
Well, it didn't work for me. I came home with nothing. They wanted to sell me 50 at .40 but I declined. Now I am in the process of complaining to WalMart.com. I don't hold out much hope. Great for you guys that got it. . .
I am wondering if WalMart.com pulled the "buy" button on the comp notebook page...like I had states before, I clicked on the link provided here and there was no "buy now" button or "add to cart" button...all it said was available in your local store...I was never given the option to purchase anything online...good luck with Wal-Mart.com ad airing your grievances...I am curious how they are going to handle it...
Today I found Mini Gel Pens at Wal-mart. Six multi-colored (pastels) for just 97 cents. Although I haven't compared colors, several remind me of some of our retired colors. These were in the party favor section. I'm thinking they might work for post-it note sets. They had another pack with a different color assortment.
I too ordered the comp books online through Walmart and went to pick them up today, ready for a fight. I ended up with 7 people trying to figure it out. After 45 minutes of the store manager on the phone with walmart.com, he honored it. He said it was an error but didn't want me to suffer because of their mistake.
Good luck to anyone else out there trying to get them...I was fortunate to have someone who was understanding

I got eight of these tins at the Dollar Tree (for $1!). I am trying to think of a way to alter the books to sell at a craft fair, but they are already pretty nice. Does anyone have any ideas?

Wow...nice deal! How large are these?
Like I need another project. lol

Personally, although it would be hard not to "alter" them, I would leave them as is. The Twilight stuff is still big with teens, and I bet they would sell.

Well done Christel. That is a great deal. Those tins are amazing. Wish I had a dollar store here! Just as well I dont have a Walmart too or I would have been running all over the place this week. It is brilliant that you ladies can share information on these great offers.

There are Twilight Papers out there. Here's a link: Twilight Scrapbooking or check your local scrapbook store.
Maybe just jazz the tin up with some Twilight paper, stickers and ribbon and leave the books as is and just add a fun Twilight inspired ribbon bookmark/charm.

I have the Immortal Love paper pack and have already used it on some Twilight inspired composition books. I am not sure about covering the tin, it is embossed on the lid and is pretty. I might work on a bookmark and gift bag and sell it all as a set.

Oh Christel, that sounds just perfect! I didn't understand that you had the books, too.
With a snazzy bookmark and gift bag, those will fly right off your table!

Well, I've finally just read the entire thread! I went to my local Walmart last week and was surprised to find the composition books were .25 each - I bought 20. Now I'm wishing that I had bought a lot more! =)

I just bought the Immortal Love paper pack yesterday to use on the comp books, too. That paper is soo pretty.
Comp books are 25 cents at Office Depot this week. I ordered and paid for some at Walmart.com to be picked up at my local store. Walmart.com canceled the order and I am waiting for them to refund my money. Bummer.

Have been on holidays this week and trying to get all my non-food craft items done.
Made 200 pendants with the glass tiles. Whew!
Still have to package them up though.

WOW! You've been busy! I'd love to see some of your pendants. Do you have a photo you can share with us? Pam
Hello All - not sure how I missed this thread but I scrolled through a bunch of the posts! I have a 'label' on my blog called "Craft Fair" if you want to take a look at what me and my friend have made for our fairs.
I just finished some more acrylic post it note holders and am working on some popcorn bins that I picked up at T's last year. Hopefully I'll get bloggin in the next few days!

Your dogs are so beautiful! I love your craft display, looks so organized and professional. You're right - it's such a guessing game. You never know what will catch someone's eye.

Very nice goodies!
Even though they are soo cute, I cannot sell those acrylic post-it note holders here at all! I still have a couple left from 3 years ago. I sell one or two a year, and give them away when I have to donate a door prize.
Another one that did not sell at all for me was the candle lollipops. Did you manage to sell them? People would pick them up and look at them with puzzled faces...even after I explained what they were. lol

Cute stuff on your craft site! I was thinking of adding a calendar to the acrylic post it note frames but I didn't realize they came in such a long size. I'll have to look for something like that - I was just going to try to use a smaller calendar.
And I love the wine tags - hadn't thought of making them for my sales but I think I'll give it a try.
The mini paint cans are very adorable. Can I ask where you found them?
I'm crafting on Sunday myself and nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is stopping me this time. I have nothing done for any sales and I gotta get crackin. Well I have some tags done but they aren't all the way done!
For you MN crafters - I just got my appliction for a sale I want to do again, and this year I have to provide a form for sales tax. I didn't have to do that last year. Now I'm wondering if I want to go through that hassle of reporting sales, charging tax. And one sale I do in MN the proceeds go to a foundation - I don't keep the sales anyway. arghhh. So have any of you dealt with this before, and what do I need to track or do, is it worth it? This makes my fun time confusing and I don't like it.

Check your state's website for reporting guidelines.

Haven't gone back very far but I'm so not prepared for this upcoming Sunday's craft show at all. I swore I was going to have all these items done and ready before then and it's just not happening. Pretty much all I have is what's left from my May show. Guess what I'll be doing the next few days LOL.
Didn't get to craft any this weekend since I was trying to find my car and house keys all weekend. Found them yesterday THANK GOODNESS since we were supposed to go this morning and get a new car key for $100+ UGH!

That's terrible. Our government has just gone crazy. A couple of weekends ago some friends of mine put on this big neigbborhood yard sale. This man shows up and asks if he could see their permit. They were like, what? I never heard of such a thing. He said it cost ten dollars and it was good for one year and you can have three yardsales a year.
So Monday they called the courthouse and, yes. It's a law.
I know here most of the craft shows ask for your tax id number on the application forms. If someone comes around and you don't have your permit with you at the show, they can close you down. I have no problem doing taxes every year for everything I've sold. It's not that much of a hassle and takes a little bit of time. I include sales tax in my items and so it's really easy to figure out at tax time. It was free to get the permit and it's good forever (as long as you have your business).

I made some post it holders last weekend with 2inch square calendars. I'll photo and post tomorrow. They fit on 4 x 6 frames. I have also a calendar file which I will post. I have been very lazy this summer. Now a lot to catch up with. Spent this week just sorting craft room and craft fair supplies into ikea storage boxes. It feels good to be better organised even if I am a bit behind with prepared items.

Hi - Sorry - I didn't see these posts! We did pretty well with the acrylic post it note holders last year. No - my candle lollipops did not sell very well. I think I made 40 of them and about 8 sold in total!! Yikes!!!
