Bubble background tech problems

I am obviously not doing the Bubble backgound technique right at all .
I fill a shallow container with water-add dish soap and reinker (2-3 drops)and then blow bubbles with a straw-Then I lay my glossy cardstock face down so it is just touching the bubbles but it leaves very little on the cardstock when it dries.I have used Tempting Turquoise,Pink Passion ,and Ballet Blue
Am I doing something wrong??
Any suuggestions would be VERY helpful!!!!

I'm still not perfect at it, but here's what I've learned on SCS...

Put water and dishsoap in a small dish, blow bubbles up to about the top of the bowl, drop several drops of reinker over the bubbles, blow a little bit more while you're holding the cardstock over the bubbles (so that they are blown up onto the cs, if that makes sense). If you put reinker in the water and THEN blow the bubbles, the color is too diluted to make much of a design on your cardstock. I usually have to do this procedure several times, turning my cs each time to get a piece fully covered with bubble outlines.

If anybody has ideas on how to refine this technique, I'm all ears...still trying to get mine to turn out the way I want it!

Thanks for the explanation-I was putting the reinker in before blowing the bubbles -Can't wait to go and try this the RIGHT way!!!

Thanks for the instructions on this! I had been reluctant to try it. Now I can't wait! I'm doing a kids program through a local college this summer. The first session will be 4-8 grade; the second will be K-3 grade. I think this would be a great technique for all of them.

Another way to do this, I call it cheating, but it is much faster and easier. After you ink your Stamp with whatever color you choose, spray water on the stamp where you just inked it. Use a spray bottle that has a generous spray (not too misty) I have had people ask me if it's the 'bubble technique', and it's not! It's very simple, and won't take much time, especially at camps.

I've also heard of adding sugar! Am I crazy here? (don't answer that) But I'm gonna have to research this later.
