I know I have seen a thread somewhere before & of course now I cannot locate it anywhere! What is the best adhesive to use when making a paint can? I remember reading somewhere E6000 or E600 or something to that effect. (What is it?)
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
I just made my first one a few days ago for a friends baby shower. I used 3M double sided tape to adhere the cardstock onto the can. Then I just used my perm. Hermafix glue dot roller to adhear the cardstock layers. I used mini glue dots to adhere embellishments (buttons, bows etc) It seemed to work great! Good luck! They are so fun! Everyone at the shower went on and on about how creative I was. I admitted to them that I got the idea from the great ladies on this site!!
I did my first paint can the other day and I used carpet tape. I don't remember who but someone on here had suggested that and it worked great. I haven't had a problem with it.
I have done several and I find that spray adhesive works best to adhere it to the can itself. I used the mono adhesive to attatche the CS to the CS, but I also seal mine. I use modge podge and put a layer or two to make them a little more durable. Of course this limits my use of other 3-D embellishments, but I think they have still turned out fine :o) Have fun, and let us know how they turn out.

I've made tons of paint cans and have found the BEST product, It's made by a company called KOKUYO. It's a permanent tape that is called the Tape 'n' Roller. It is a refillable roller as well. After I made my first can only to see it fall apart with every tape and glue I could find I was so pleased to finally find a tape that worked. I've only been able to find it at AC Moore. It truly is the best!!! I hope this helps.
I used carpet tape and it held the bottom layer to the can like a champ. Unfortunately the layer on top kept popping off. I ended up tearing everything off and I'll start from scratch with something wlse.
I guess it depends on how you are decorating your can, but the glue to use is E6000. I made alot at Christmas and what I used was the redline double sided tape. Mounting tape that you get in the photo frame department of your craft store also works well.
