It's been ages since I've played any challenges and this one looked like so much fun, I just had to squeeze one in. I used Clorox Green Works right from the bottle.
I haven't stamped in a week so I am hoping to do some today. Maybe I can get several challenges done. I will definitely try this one but with another cleaner since I don't have Simple Green.
I think I am going to have to put a Cuttlebug on my Christmas list too. I have been trying to resist b/c I have a Cricut but I love the embossing with the CB.
I really didn't have a problem with my paper bending, but I was using glossy cardstock. After it's all dry you could always run an iron over the back side to flatten it out again. I think the bending thing may depend on what type of paper you use...but that's just a guess.

I used glossy card stock, but I tried this three times and it bowed up in the middle every time...so I finally settled for just one color....did I get it too wet?

OOOKAAAAY, here it is!!! For those who don't have simple green or those who have never heard of simple green ;) I used formula 409 and it seemed to work fine.

Not sure this is the same effect but hey, where there's a will there's a way. I subbed for Simple Green and here are my GREASED LIGHTNING DAISIES.

Well that was fun! Thanks for the challenge. It's only the second one I've ever done. Here's my contribution...no snow in sight on this one, just like outside my window.
Well this was a challenge for me! Not today's technique... that really was easy and fun Lynn... but making a shaker card turned out to be a lot trickier for me! Here's my card:

I have Green Works, tried it, it did nothing. I also tried Formula 409. DId nothing. Not sure if it's the ink or the solution. I'm going to keep trying... I have a closet full of cleaning things (which does NOT mean I am a lunatic about cleaning LOL.... quite the contrary!)
I had to do another...it was a battle for superiority with the sewing machine and I am now covered in shades of blue and dazzling diamonds....BUT I THINK I WON!!!
I tried the technique with Lysol Spray Cleaner and it works (except I got it way too wet). I'd recommend a really light touch on the old sprayer -- you can always do a second spray.
I couldn't find an appropriate cleaner (guess what MY house looks like!), so I tried out some alcohol inks on acetate I had been wanting to experiment with. The result's the same! here is my entry: Speckled Tree
I really like this technique, but I am going to have to try Simple Green next time. I used Green Clean instead. They both have Green in their names, so they should work the same . . . lol.
PS....I used Shaklee Basic H...I would think any kind of basic spray cleaner would work...the enviro friendly ones just don't smell or hurt your eyes and skin!
Well, I totally improvised since I had no Simple Green (Mom would kill me if she knew) and no brayer---and you can't really see the technique in my pic--boo hiss! But I did try, so here is my Snowfamily card, tfl.
