Hi Janet,
If you get this let me know. Thanks to a very helpful member, I know how to do a few things. To ask a question, go to forums, then start here. On that page you'll see "new thread" at the upper left-hand side, above the start here. Hit new thread to ask a question. Then your answer will be sent to your e-mail. If you can't read it, scroll down to the area to highlight and it will take you there.
I don't know how to post a picture under your name either, so I'm going to ask that question too.
I hope this helps.
You can also go to: splitcoaststampers.com/forum/private.php
to send an e-mail to a specific person. You have to know their user name. The rest is easy to do.

I am new to SCS and I must say that over the last few days I have been searching this website and I am absolutely amazed and impressed with all the information there is and all the beautiful samples. There is no way to not get inspired from this website. I also see that addiction could be an issue with all the enablers on here. Hope to become one in the near future.

Have a fantastic day - Stamp until your fingers cramp!
Hi. I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have a question on how to insert a link to my gallery in a post. I have tried adding in the link and this is the reply I get - You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 3 posts or more.
I'm not trying to post a link to another site & I have made more that 3 posts. Any help is appreciated - thanks.
Hi,
I am new to this, too. I am sorry that I cannot help you with this technical problem. Have you tried to check in the forums and requested some assistance. I hope that helps.

Hi, I just discovered this site yesterday, and am very anxious to become familiar enough with it to know what I am doing. The wealth of information here seems endless. I look forward to being a part of SCS!
I don't know alot, but I know the basics to ask questions, send private messages, find galleries, and a few other things. If you need help, feel free to ask me. This site is totally addicting. I spend way too much time on here and not enough time making progress on cards and scrapbooking. you'll love it here.

HI - I was given this site by a SU fantastic and creative lady and I can't thank her enough. Question how do you post a question on the main Forum topics. Such as since I am still realtively new to Calgary, Alberta I would love to connect with some other ladies to do stamping and scrapbooking adn card making together. It's lot of fun on my own but I would love to get together with some others. How do I make that forum request? Thanks for your help!! Gayle
Hullo - I am new to this site and just love what I see! Are there any folks from Calgary Alberta out there who would like to stamp and chat? I'm relatively new to stampling and would love to meet others - I'm an avid card maker and scrapbooker as well - we still have snow on the ground here so it makes working indoors still easy for the next few weeks!
Hello Besheean
I have started card making for only a couple of years now, but I love it! Have been learning something new every day It sure is hard finding your way around here. Have been trying to figure out how to just make a posting but will take some time I am sure
I'm new to this site, I had lost some interest in my SU stamps, until I found this site. I've told both my daughters that stamp about this site. I love to stamp, but sometimes new new inspiration to get me started. Thanks for this site, I love it.

:-D Hi All! I just joined SCS and I'm really excited about reading everything and finding new ideas and friends. I hope to post some cards later and maybe some LO's.
I have a feeling this site is going to get me in trouble with my hubby---spending so much time reading and trying out all the neat tips I have found and ignoring everything else, him included!! All of you seem so friendly and helpful I'm so excited that I found SCS!! WooHoo!! I'm really looking forward to knowing each of you! I could use some friends---:( !!
:p Hi everyone! I am a first time poster to the forum. I am so excited that I found this site!!! I have been scrappin' now for about 5 years and new just this past year to Stampin' up! I am addicted I can't believe the amount of info on here. It is great. I have just begun to discover everything there is to see. There are so many talented people to learn from. I am a self confessed scraplifter and have seen some amazing layouts. I am looking forward to trying some of the challenges soon! ;)
Newcomer... 1st -what does "bump" mean?
and 2nd i saw some cards that refered to a sketch challenge - how do you get to see the original sketch it was from and how do u find out about the sketches? thanks, Victoria
I see someone has explained CASE copy/share/Steal everything and RAK as Random Acts of Kindness. I am not sure but I think the BUMP means to just add yourself to a thread in order to see responses to questions. I don't rememer seeing bump in the acronym list but it is a very long list.
Am glad to see I'm not the only one who is new to this type of forum! Like a couple of other people I too would like to change my user name. But, don't have a clue what I need to do for that to happen. Would appreciate your help.
I heard about this group last year at the SU! Convention, but never joined.
I was encouraged to do so by a couple of other demonstrators and am looking forward to tapping into lots of great info!
Greetings to you as a fellow scrapper and stamper. I also make cards with a lot of my cscrapping papers, love those papers. Hoping the weather in Fl turns it ugly side to another directions, we don't have hurricanes I'm from MN

I am a hard core scrapbooker also and the stamping became a part of my scrapbooking and now I love the card making, etc... I am also a photographer in my spare time, but I work as a registered nurse to support my addictive hobbies!!! I live in South Florida, and we are bracing for the 3rd hurricane to hit Florida in just one month, so we are all getting a bit rattled. I hope the power stays on so that I can do my stamping and scrappping. My name is Kiki and I am glad to be a part of this.. Kiki
Hi, I'm new to this site, but not new to stamping! I've been stampin' for goin' on ten years now (Whoa! when I stopped to think about it, I was amazed it had been that long!). Most of that time, I've been stampin' by myself--and while it's fun to stamp alone, sometimes company and 'partners in stamping' would be most welcome. I have a new, offline, friend who is a stampin' fiend herself (including SU) <g>, and she told me about SCS, and urged me to join. So, yesterday, I did just that. I can see it's going to be hard to tear myself away from here to go make cards and other paper arts! I'll have to really discipline myself on that part. LOL. I am married to a dh who encourages my art and who allows me to buy as many stamps, papers, and the accompanying enhancements as our budget allows! I am a very happy SAHW/M. have an only child, my dd, whom I taught to rubberstamp when she was little. She's now in her second year of college in our hometown in Texas, and still loves to rubberstamp, and do collage, just like Mom. In fact, she used collage in one of her art projects (she's a graphics arts major) and received an A! Woo hoo! I enjoy papercrafts related to rubberstamping, but am not into scrapbooking; however, I routinely rob the scrapbook world for things I want to use in my rubberstamp/cardmaking alternate universe. ;-) I am attracted to designer paper like a magpie is attracted to shiny objects. I love using things that are 'outside the box' for my cards and other papercrafts, and I recycle things a great deal of the time so as to keep the budget solvent! I go by either "Bronwen" or "Bron", whichever you prefer. The name is Welsh, and means "fair lady". We do have Welsh blood in our family, but only discovered this when I was ten, and my granddaddy decided to do some family genealogy. Presto! Not only Scots-Irish, but Welsh blood runs through our veins. My Mother named me after the central character/heroine in a wonderful book by Richard Llewellyn, called "How Green Was My Valley", which is a story based on his childhood in a Welsh coal mining family. I highly recommend the book, being only a tad bit biased. <g> I love learning new techniques, and now I won't have to be pumping my offline friend so much about them--because I expect all the new techniques will be here at SCS. I look forward to meeting and making new friends here. Also, I am thankful I won't have to rely on my own ingenuity (which IS good, but...) or magazines (PaperCrafts and esp. RubberStampMadness are GREAT!) for inspiration anymore. If you've read this far, congratulations! I'm a 'wordy birdie', as you will note. <VBG> Bron/Bronwen
Nice to meet you, Bron! I love this site too and spend a lot of time learning the techniques in the tutorials. The forums are so great to learn from other stampers. When I want to try a new technique, I will often go to the forums to see what other stampers have about the technique. Another fun think to do is to join the forum (I think it's called DSS) where you get a Big Sis who sends you cards and gifts and you give the same to a Little Sis. The time period for each 'round' of giving is 3 months and then you can decide if you want to go for another round. It is lots of fun. I am a retired special ed teacher and I have been so happy to find this site. Also, I am a Close To My Heart consultant and this site has been great for helping me get ideas to teach my clubs! Once a teacher, always a teacher! (lol). I have 2 grown daughters and a little grandson. Enjoy this site and all the great stampers! It truly is like one big happy family! Colleen

Hi Colleen, nice to meet you!
"Colleen" is my dd's middle name; lovely Irish name, isn't it? <wink>
Thank you for the welcome, and I enjoyed reading some things about you. I appreciate your telling me about the DSS, and what all it entails. I went to that thread, and read a lot of people saying "Thanks! this will be fun!" etc, but could not find the intro post telling what DSS actually *is*.
I look forward to getting to know you, Colleen. :>)
That 's so funny that your daughter's name is Colleen too. Small world! I know a new round is just being formed and I think you need to ask permission to join. I think you can do this by either posting a new thread and asking to be included in the next round or looking for the first thread and adding to it. Or, try both! I know the next round is starting in May. There are 3 groups you can choose from to join- Group A sends at least 3 cards & small gift each of the 3 months; Group B sends at least 2 cards and Group C sends a card a month and one gift at the end of the round. I was in Group C last time (which was my first time doing a round). It was so much fun! I decided to do Group A this next time. Other folks may know how to join that forum too and perhaps you will help me out with suggestions here for Bron. My computer time is up for now- so have a good day, Bron! Colleen
Hi everyone
I joined this site a couple years ago but was n't very active. I enjoyed reading the posts, and even asked a few questions that were very helpful. I'm hoping to be more active this time and get to new the members.
talk later
Just a newbie! How do I change my signiture? and I have a picture set up on the right how do I get it to show up on the left. What are threads? I tried to look to see the meaning was.
My name is Kathy My question is how can you put polarid pictuces in your scrapbook or is there a way to copy them
Personally, I like to copy Polaroids first, but only because they are so thick. I take them to Archivers & use the good photo-copiers that they have there. You can take them to any copy center (like Kinkos). But you can put them in your album with the same adhesive that you use for regular photos.

Yep, small world indeed, Colleen! thanks for your very cheery post. I hope I can find this "Secret Sister Swap", or that's what it sounds like to me anyway, before April is over. I'd sure like to participate! Can anybody help me find a link to this thread? I would really appreciate it a lot. :>)
I think, Colleen, I'd like to be in Group A myself!
I look forward to chatting with you more...
warmly,
Bronwen
