Heavy storms moving in. My first tornado watch. My body feels like a truck hit it because of all the barometric pressure...Maybe I should sell my body to science..it's better then any meterologist!! LOL
We may be a little nuts......mostly just plain crazy.......but we do have fun!! Lynn....sell you body to science??!! What on earth would you do that for?? Who would I run around with in here if you went ahead and did that??!! BTW.....I hid Dani's leashes while she was out with DH so we should be good for a while now!! WooHoooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I went ahead and stayed up, mostly because my husband went and got me a Big Red (soda for all you non-Texans) and I haven't had in any in at least a week so I had to stay up and drink it! lol ANyways, I got one card done. I have an idea for another and will see if I can get that one done tomorrow.

I am getting my card in here at the last minute again! I wanted to make something instead of an iris, but my other idea did not work out very well. I may try it again later.
Anyway, I love iris. One of my grandmothers used to raise lots of them. Dozens and dozens of different colors and varieties and she would sometimes sell the plants. She also loved making beautiful flower arrangements. For me, an iris is an instant reminder of her.
Canada post is going to have rolling strikes. They are going to start in Winnipeg and be on strike there for 24 hours. I'll let you know more as I hear it.
Ok..we all already know..cause I think I let it slip...that this week's letter will be the letter U. So ladies get your thinking caps on and get creating!! I'll work on mine tomorrow.
This will also mark the last of the first set of the alphabet. Now so far we have been drawing the letter randomly, do we wish to continue or do we want to follow the letters. So let's all speak up and vote: random or not??
Ok...so far I have :myself, cricket and montanna as having made cards...did I miss anyone? If not I'll have my son draw the name for the "HAPPY MAIL ADDRESSEE"!!!
Crafter, my life is sort of upside down right now and I haven't made any cards for over a week. So, I never did get a card done for the letter "I". As for what order to do the next round of letters, my vote is to go in order, cause then I'll know what letter I can work on for the next week. Lol. That's my vote.
Ok Suzy..as long as you're not underwater!! That would be BAD. AND you have the perfect U card---upside down. Just teasing. Hope things straighten out. I know OH SO WELL what that is like.
Hello ladies, I am sorry I have been MIA. As FM told you I had a death in the family. My son in laws father died so I was over there helping out where I could. They do not have internet access so....I missed y'all very much. I have to admit tho, I am confused. What letter are we on now? I or U? I think I have to still make an I card. So whoever is the winner of the I cards, I will get my card made and out to you asap. I think I still have cards here to mail out. I will get reorganized and get them in the mail. I will still have my grandchildren for the weekend, however, I will still be able to come on SCS. Now,....what is this about someone hiding the leashes??? Who needs to be sent to the corner?? I believe Suzy, FM, Montana and Cricket?? Well luckily we have four corners so each of you pick your corner and sit there all weekend. This will learn you not to hide the leashes. ;) I've missed y'all. It feels good to be back. BTW my vote is to go in order as well. This way if someone has time to make two cards they can get ahead. Especially if they have busy lives. So that's my vote. I will be back on tomorrow and hopefully I will have my I card. Do I need to make a U card or is that for this coming Wednesday?
The latest on the Canada Post strike: rolling strikes with the next city being Hamilton ON for 48 hours. Then we don't know. Some places are not accepting mail because they don't know if they will have to store it or not.

My son pulled the name from the hat when he got home! I will package up my card for you but will wait for the strike to be over before sending it. I don't want it mangled.
Congrats Cricket. I will get my Iguana card out to Monday. FMcrafter thank you so much for covering for me. You are such a great friend. And I am so glad the two of us made more friends. We have a wonderful group here. Now, if you color on the wall, you will clean it. Go to the corner.
For the rest of you (most of you should be in your corners) Starting next week, we will go in alphabetical order. This way if someone wants to make more than one card in a week to get ahead they can. Plus, if I have something pressing where I can't post right away in the morning, you will all know what letter we are on. The only other thing I need to decide is do we keep all of it under one thread or how should I do it? I don't want to do a new thread for each letter. If we get a lot more players then we can do that, however, right now I'm not sure that's the best idea. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm sorry I didn't get an I card made.....I'm going to look in my stash when I get home from the lake Sunday evening and see if there is something I already have that would work.....(I know that's kinda cheating....but shhh.....if we're quiet about it, no one will notice....tee hee).

I was feeling 'woe is me' in my little corner..then Suzy came over and I pulled over the computer. We were galavanting on the internet when I found this perfect digital kit
We are having a beautiful day, so I have been outside planting more flowers! I hope to get to the crafting in a little while. I didn't know about digi kits either.
I woke up with a huge headache. I think I will just stick to stamping today. I deserve a day off. It is so hot outside too. But I would much rather have this then below zero and snow.
