I know nothing about sending videos. LOL. I am trying to figure out how to insert a you tube into a scrapbook challenge. I will let you know if that works! LOL
DH and I don’t even understand ads on TV, anymore! I mean, what are they advertising? We would only need Hallmark and sports channels if you could get them that way.
Sharon we don’t understand the ads on TV either, we very often look at each other and ask each other what it was about.
I have t seen the March scrap challenges yet, did I miss them?
I thought we were the only ones who weren't getting the ads! I looked at DH and said I don't get it. He says me either! And if they are going to use celebrities, they need to use someone any age would recognize. DS2 had to explain that the reason the one ad was funny was because the guy crossing the road WAS Limp Biskit?? I've heard of him, but no way I'd recognize him!
Sorry everyone I am still in the land of vertigo, it has been 6 weeks! Grumpy took the afternoon off to take me to my regular doctor. I can't even watch him talking to my son and I without getting sick, he was just moving too much. Yuck. So he gave me a pill to help with vertigo and I am being referred to a specialist .. Something about
Sorry I can't help with videos or anything. With the noise in my ear, and the vertigo I even have trouble watching TV. Watching a car chase is completely out of the question!

Lynn, one of my friends here has Ménière’s disease. Once they got it diagnosed, she has been mostly ok. But, still had her DGD trained on what to do if all of a sudden, while driving something happened. I think she is on some kind of medication so it isn’t continuous. I hope they can do something for you.

Happy Wednesday. It’s grooming day. Yay Kathy is back..whoop whoop and just in time for her special day.
We don’t watch channels with ads. We tape the channel and zap them. We watched a Foxtel show last week and right in the middle 10 ads came up..hubby was zapping those fast. We don’t get some either.
Lynn was on meds for menieres a few years ago. They fixed me straight away. Hubby has the same meds for vertigo. I hope you get fixed. Mine was a mild case but every time I bent down I went dizzy.

Ina I thought about YouTube but there’s no way I want anyone but you ladies listening to me prattle one or seeing my journals. People are cruel on YouTube. I can never understand how people give a video the thumbs down when someone is trying to share info. There’s cruel people out there. Hubby also said there’s no way he wants me going on YouTube posting lol. He’s worried I might get fans lol. *joke*. My videoing is as shonky as the stitching on some of the papers lol.

Tonights stupid ad was GEICO and neither of us get it! A wedding and the grooms family is a bunch of wolves?
I'm here reading everyday, Jayne. Just not very chatty because my mind goes to troubles, I start crying and can't stop. Then it passes. The underlying issue won't be changing any time soon, so I'm hanging on. Just grateful it isn't hanging on 24/7 because I'm exhausted. And then tonight I find a rash all over my neck and upper chest. Probably stress related, but I got a shower and put cream on it. My sister called and needs me to watch little man tomorrow until 11:30 but my nieces schedule has changed and now I have to be there at 7:15. That's not bad if I sleep well, but that hasn't been the case. Sister also wants to take me to lunch Friday for my birthday, but I don't eat much, and really don't feel like celebrating. We'll see. Saturday is card day and my birthday celebration, but I'm only going because my demo friend wants me to and she's been there for me through all of this.
Kathy, I'm so sorry that this is such an awful time for you! Everyone sure misses you and is concerned. Many prayers are sent up on your behalf! Hugs dear lady!
Lynn, my dad had Ménière’s disease and once it is diagnosed, hopefully, the Dr. will be able to treat you and the symptoms will go away! How frustrating for you!

Sharon, we usually record everything on TV that we want to watch and skip through the ads. The few we've seen are strange or annoying!

I have started my journal..yay. It is tiny. I’m following YouTube videos and a template from junk journal videos..she’s an Aussie lol. I don’t have fabric so had to use some burlap...not the best so I can see me heading to a fabric shop next week for off cuts.
I stamped the inside for a bit of a theme that I am going to run with. I will use this for my monthly journal when it’s finished.
Here is the process so far. I have my papers out and tomorrow hope to do the signature. Happy so far.
I cut my cereal box down, covered it with kraft paper and have just done the inside. Once the signature is in I will decorate the front cover and the pages and add pockets.
It’s so small but I love it lol

if you film on an iphone, tranfer them to iMovie first. You can turn the video orientation and edit there.
From there I save to my computer then condense them in a program on-line called clipchamp. While that does take awhile, the video then is 'compacted' and uploads to YouTube much faster.
I donl't know for sure but clipchamp used to be free to use for up to 5 videos. After that you had to pay by 'package'. I have unlimited for $14.95 a month. With my bandwidth, that works best for me or I'd be 3 days trying to upload 15 min. video to youtube.

I don't know if it's just me or an SCS thing in general but I wish they'd fix it. I hate having to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to leave a comment unless I'm quoting a post. Is anyone else having this issue?
I'm on a serious room dig out.
Finally realized last week I've been going about this room organization all wrong.
Instead of trying to work around stuff, I'm pulling everything out that isn't connected somehow. I'll shampoo the carpet this weekend and wipe everything down then bring stuff back in and put away - the way it should have been done in the beginning.
Except sweetie wanted my stuff out of what would become his mancave so everything came up at once and was never put away properly.
My sister will be here a week from today for 5 days. the room WILL be done. :-)

It's March, but it's nowhere near spring in this area yet. Lots of snow on the ground and freezing temps and cold winds, so I am layering up when I go out. That's what our paper challenge is for this month. Use lots of layers on your cards/projects. It's a good way to use up papers and scraps. I have only onevsample made. I will probably not get it uploaded to my gallery until Friday or later, but here is a photo. 6 layers on this card, not including the fussy cut flowers on the stitched panel.

Dirty girls get an alternate ego of thing 1 or thing 2. My guess is that a previous dirty girl was logged in as thing 1 because new dirty girls aren't revealed until the 15th of each month.

no. my buttons are in the bottom right corner of the bost. I can QUOTE, have an arrow (which should take me to a fresh reply window then the LIKE button
I can only reply directly if I quote, otherwise I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom to the fresh window

I'm still digging out the studio. Spent the past two days working on it a little here and there while I focused on trying to finish a junk journal that is a gift for my sister. Wanted it done so I could put the left over stuff away as I'm cleaning up.
I'm hoping to shampoo the carpet on Sunday. Should be in the upper 60s and a nice breeze in the windows so I can dry the carpet out pretty quick.

Jayne that’s a good idea to make junk journals to use stash, I’ve watched one that used a book but she took all the pages out, I thought she would glue some pages together to make them thicker and use them! I see you need to paint the page with gesso to stop the ink sinking in too, I’m rearing to get started now, hope my enthusiasm lasts until I get home.
Another stormy weekend forecasted, Ferries to Spain have been cancelled again so fingers crossed for a week on Sunday as we are sailing home!
I fyou ladies have questions, just ask. I'm in two active monthly junk journal groups. Dearjuliejulie has a junk journal challenge every month. I've been with her just over a year. I love doing the junk journals. Goodness knows I have enough stash to support them!
If you need help with a technique in general, I can direct you to the good videos. ;-)

Jan, thanks for the gesso tip. I hadn’t seen that. I love books and not sure I could tear some up unless they are awful books lol. I will use some pages out of books if I do and my stash and junk mail too. I want different sized pages. I bought a very large needle for sewing when I picked up my sewing machine. Gosh I will be hand and electric sewing...whatever next lol.
I need to find out if my sis and BIL survived their Asian cruise.
I’m playing the rest of today,...yay.
there are multiple ways to do junk journals. some remove all the pages so they can use the cover for their cover. You can also make your own covers - no books destroyed in this process lol
Then there are ART or ALTERED journals.. where you remove some pages, glue some pages together for strength. I'll look at my videos and give you a couple of links. I have examples of an Altered journal and several of actual 'junk' journals.
If you want to do 'art or altered' journals, there is one gal that is really good at teaching them in her videos. She is from California and a hoot. LorrieMarie I think is her name. I have her on my playlists.

Kelly , I just watched your junk mail video on you tube. I loved it! Just how many blogs do you have? I think you are over extended time wise girl! LOL
I have 5 but only 3 that I work regularly. The others are more as things come up that apply to their subject matter.
I've narrowed my items down. writing/ crafting.. the music is just 'cause I like the perks and get to meet great people. I started the weightloss more for accountability and my Ozarks is a travel journal and stuff about the Ozarks. I was going to kill a couple but I have regular readers.
I'm also speaking about blogging at a writers conference in oct. in Eureka Springs

So with what I have I have been taking only gravol. The doc added teva-betahistine. So with both in me I managed to clean half my bedroom. I needed to rest about 2 hours before I was no longer on the spin cycle. So the rest will wait for tomorrow so I can get dishes done. The joy!
Ina if you need some inexpensive recollection colored paper and will be coming this way let me know. Otherwise I will donate to the special needs class.
Kelly I do keep an art journal and practice lots of mixed media techniques in it. Do you follow Maremismallart? She is awesome. Her videos can be long but I zap through them. I’ve learnt so much from her videos. She covers a lot of mixed media. I subscribe to so many that I’ve had to delete card videos other than Jennifer Mcguire and a few others. I prefer to follow scrapping and journals now. Enjoy your time with your sister.

A question Jayne, in the junk journals are they just for using stash or do they have a purpose, or have photos etc in them?
I was watching a video last night and I’m so impatient, I hate it when they wave their polished nails about, one was goin for eight minutes before she started anything, I had whizzed it on of course, puts me off straight away when they have papers on front of them and keep patting them! I just want to shout ,get on with it! Steve gets annoyed with me if he’s slow doing anything as he says he can see my hands twitching to take over.
Jan I’m with you. I do not like videos where they go on about the products they are going to use or what they’ve been up to. Get on with what you are making and give me a list of what you used in the info bar lol. I scroll forward.
With my junk journals I am going to use the small one just for writing in. In my smash books I used to add photos and journal. In my travellers notebook one I have just done journalling and added emphera and receipts, etc. in my art journal I just use it for practicing techniques and having fun. I might cut those up one day and use them.
It really is up to you and what makes you happy. That’s how I look at it.
On my video I do show my nails lol but try and turn the pages quickly lol. I don’t like long videos unless I’m learning something good.

We had aircon fitted in the spare bedroom this morning so couldn’t go for a walk, I couldn’t have my computer on we thought he would need the electric switching off, I couldn’t do much as I couldn’t print photos for my journal, I finished a card but couldn’t settle to anything, anyway he finished at 12 so we shot off to have a quick walk, coffee and shopping as I had to get back to clean as he had trod dust all over the villa! Just finished , I actually thought it was Saturday today, ha,ha,
