I haven't been an active stamper in about 4 years now due to life changes... I'm challenging myself this year to do quite a bit considering! I've missed stamping and feel so behind with all the "new" techniques and products I'm seeing!
My list is starting with...
50 Christmas Cards
365 Cards
Use 1/3 of my stash (I feel new purchases can be justified this way) LOL!
Participate in 20 swaps
Blog at least twice a week
Hello Ladies,
I did not do a good job last year in keeping up with my totals. Actually, I wasn't any good at it the year before. Anyway, what is done is done. Moving forward, a New Year, New Motivation, I hope to do a much better job with my totals. I decided to just keep things as simple as possible. I have to set myself up for success.
I will pay myself:
$3 per card/small project
$2 per blog
$3 per video/scrapbook page
Anything else will have to fit into one of these categories or will not count. My goal is to enter my totals weekly and to do my best to stay in the black.
I want to be more productive with challenges, too. Once I upload something, I go right to the signature and update it. I tried keeping a separate record but got mixed up sometimes where what I counted and truing to write out a description was too time consuming. Also, kind of the same thing with purchases - the next time I get on SCS I go do the update.
Welcome back Courtney!

Welcome ladies! I was bad today! I spent money on more stamps and paper! I don’t need any of it! It is a true sickness! I went to a FSJ workshop! We made the cutest sack with a box top that we made for Valentines Day. And made a Valentine card and an adorable bunny card! We did fussy cutting and coloring with pencils and baby oil.
This card. Leave some love for my demo . She designed this adorable card.
And this card. She said someone else designed this one and she copied. But I Made both of theses today.
Lynn, your card is gorgeous. Is the white paper of the card a glitter paper? That might account for the photography issue. I just invested in a photostudio light box, only 19.99 on Amazon. It is a perfect size for cards. It folds flat when not in use and there aremagnets on the side to hold the constructed box together. There is a little mini light bar at the top. I will use it for my next upload.
Ina.. which brand did you get? There are a ton on Amazon!
I was taking the picture of the card in my 2nd bedroom where I do all my stuff. The bottom of the card has a glitter strip to cover a mistake I made. I played around last night and keep getting an image where the white looks grey. I changed the lightbulb but the image still looked grey. I put the card on Kraft colour and still the same result.. is it the glimmer paper or my camera? I checked the manual for the camera but cannot find anything about setting the white balance...it is a Nikon Coolpix point and shoot. I had to just give up or else I would not have slept
I'm a spreadsheet freak at work but when I come home I don't want to see them! Lol
I'll be updating SCS signature anytime I make progress! Lets do this!!

Morning! I need to share. I was watching a talk show. They were talking about new year resolutions. sO resolutions are black and white. 80% fail. Then there are goals which are more attainable. But the new thing was to set an intention by choosing a word to live by! So one little word is now a thing! Ithink Ali has been doing it for over 6 years at least..in a scrapbooking format.

Sharon your card made me smile and bought back memories of a friend from football, he was a larger than life character and the song, come on baby light my fire was his favourite song, well sadly he died suddenly and his wife played it at his funeral, he requested that we all went in our mazarron football shirts too. actually everyone clapped along so it kind of ended on an upbeat note, if thats possible!!
Yes it did Kathy, I think just after Christmas, thank you, sorry I should have told you, it was lovely, I have so many handmade cards that I never throw away that I’m running out of room in the drawer! Did mine arrive? Hope so, I must have had a couple of senior moments as when I got home I found a Christmas card in a box that thought I’d posted to a friend in England and yesterday I was looking for an envelope for jacks birthday card, I have them all in a separate drawer, when I picked one up and it had a Christmas card inside for another friend in England, it’s been there since September, Ive already apologised to Ali, I think I will just keep stum about the other one!
Yes, yours arrived before Christmas, but I should have sent mine earlier. I keep forgetting how long it takes to get there! I have to admit, I don't save them, I re-use them! Yours is always so pretty and you make it so easy to take the center paper out! So your card continues to bring joy to others!
Oh that’s a good idea Kathy, I have taken some pieces off bought ones but maybe that’s a way of recycling them, I’ve been having a good sort out as I’ve been away so long I couldn’t find anything so I’ve been tidying the drawers! Actually I enjoyed doing it and I found all sorts of things I’d forgotten about!
Kathy, I guess I could put it in my siggy... I have my word everywhere here. My word is INVITE. There are quite a few things in the one little word class that help solidify it in my mind. Yes my mind is a scary place! Lol
Lovely winter card. Lynn, Monday's CAS challenge is entitled Unique Snowflake. You might want to enter your card on that gallery. Love the blue and pink.
Foiled again! I got 3/4 finished a card only to figure out I can't create a frame! I have no dies of the right size. The way grumpy changed my craft space I can't pull out my cricut! I need to do a full rework of the area!
I am very proud of myself. I smell good which is always a plus. I managed a good bath! For those that don't know I had spinal surgery. Since then I am very careful making certain I am careful getting in and out of the bath. Oh forgot to say my kneecap pops out of place so slow and steady.
The only reason I’m not in the red is because there are no craft shops here on Spain.
Just been out for lunch with some friends from England, we had lunch as it is Steve’s birthday, the lady at the restaurant where we go for breakfast gave us all some vienetta for afters, Steve's came with a number 5 candle and they sang happy birthday even though none of them speak English, they are such lovely people.
Hey girls... just a quick check in. I've been off the computer and serioiusly revamping the office and mixed media areas of my studio while I can sort things out of there and start fresh. Odd having the house to myself for almost 2 months by the time Bob gets back home next month but I'm trying to make the most of it.

With the 25% off total from Michaels I popped in to get some purple papers. Only the 8 1/2 x 11 packs were on sale so I passed on the open stock 12x12s. Did get a patterned pack of Hot Buy, thou. And a cute album with a Parisian girl on a bike for some Tiny Tot pages as they happen. Updated totals, awaiting the order from FSJ DD just made so I can total the few things I ordered.
Happy birthday to Jan's Steve!
Got some shopping done at the fresh veggie market today, need to do some cooking like roasting the red bell peppers and put on a pot of beans and probably a soup too. Then a quick trip to Publix.
Hoping to make cards later today.
Happy Friday!

I have been working on clearing off my crafting table, and as I encounter partial made cards, I have been completing them, and I am also creating cards for a demo I will be doing on the 26th. I plan to go through my history in card making, making samples along the way. Starting with cutting pictures out of magazines, then simple stamping and use of dp, to heat embossing, die cutting, dry embossing, and use of embellishments, to mixed media.
Ina, I had missed this before, but just saw about helping hostessing. So put me down for a month or more for once a month.
Still trying to do a card for what we missed, our first challenge of 2018. Everyone, I think I would do , I look up and see I already did one! LOL I guess I liked it the first time and like it again! Kind of like pinning on Pinterest. LOL
Ina, I have a box with half finished cards too, I’m hoping to finish some of them this year, also backgrounds I’ve made and didn’t like so I’ve plenty to work with! If I don’t use them this year They are going to be thrown away.
Sharon, thank you for volunteering. I had not gotten around to asking anyone yet. Any more volunteers for hosting our challenge once every three or 4 months? That is only 3 or 4 times a year, and if something comes up when it is your turn, I can step in.

I stll have not done a card for the challenge this week. Gotta get an Elvis card done. A bit of trivia. My grandson Elwy was born on Elvis birthday. He really was not named after Elvis. They named him Elwood right after my daughters first ultrasound when she found out he was a boy.

Our grandson was born on Elvis’s Birthday, too. But they named him a ?Biblical name (Joshua) and middle name after a missionary, (Elliot) For James Elliot.
Anyway already sent his bd card, but since he plays the guitar, I could make him a thank you card with that for this challenge, as he is my tech and did things to my laptop while he was here. I also owe my son in law one for installing and hooking up my new Canon Selphy portable photo printer. And I should try it and see if it still works! LOL. I had used the five photos it came with. Now then I ordered 108 and got that. I need to see if I can put the ink and paper in it by myself. Sorry, rambling, here! LO
Anyway, I have cards to make! I chose the pen and pencil challenge. Now to do it!
