Lynn I first thought you wanted grumpy to adopt the dog, we would love a dog but we wouldn’t be able to away as we do now so we decided against the idea
Jayne sounds like you had fun on the hen party, there seems to be a trend in the uk for going to another country for a weekend, must be expensive for everyone who’s invited.
Pleased to see you are recovering and getting back into golf, we have a golf course where we live but neither of us have any interest but we know plenty who use it.
Hello everyone. I have been a VERY bad girl! I have been talking to grumpy about this dog I want to adopt... well after 4 days of listening to me whine he finally gave in....
yup! The dog was already adopted
Poor grumpy!
Hi Lynn was this going to be your second dog...for some reason I thought you had one.
Is grumpy your hubby or son and who is sweet pea....I'm sure you've told me before but I'm getting old and forget...lol.
There will be another dog to adopt...I'm a great believer that things aren't sometimes meant to be and better things will come along. Happy day

Welcome back Jan. I heard how awful the weather is in the UK from friends who are visiting. How lovely that you are there to celebrate your grandsons birthday..enjoy.
The young ones here usually go out of the city for a weekend to celebrate their hens or stag night....some go overseas to Bali which I just don't get considering how expensive weddings are these days. Future DIL is on a budget and she held it at their home and then went dancing....it was a fun night. Yep it is good to be back at golf but not this week as too much happening.
Lynn...I got it...grumpy is your son and sweet pea his girl?
Had a busy day getting ready for youngest boy coming home.....we empty nesters are about to be nesting again....;) I never realised how much stuff we had and which had taken over the whole house, including stuff for the poppets when they come to play. I also found that youngest boy also has a lot of crap....oops stuff ....that he left here. I hope he only comes back with one suitcase.
Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everone, sorry about the latr post. Lynne, Murphy shoul not bother you today, as he is here. I had the challenge post almost ready, when my finger just glanced off the back key and I lost the whole long post. I'll make it short this time, and add the description in the next post. Last week, I found a card on Pinterest that seems to be all the rage right now. It is called the Impossible card, but it is quite easy. It's a special folds card, but honestly Sharon, it is easy after you watch a video. I can't seem to link it right now, but you can google it or find it on pinterest. Check out a video by maymay. Hereis one of my cards. Not old, just vintage by yellowrose46 - at Splitcoaststampers

Basically, you start with a single piece of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 paper fpr the base. On the short side, score at halfway mark which is 2, 1/8. Turn to long side and score at halfway mark, which is 2, 3/4 and only score down to the horizontal midline score. Turn cs 180 degrees and score at 2 inch and 4, 1/2 inches, only to midline scring. Cut hose score lines carefully. They all need to stop accurately at the midline. Now comes the cool part. Holding the top right half, take left lower corner and twist upward until the centre part ends upright and the previously left upper half ends up at the lower part. This will leave an empty space at the top left and lower right. Now, fold the middle part up and brnish the score line. It will pop back up, asit issupposed to do. It only gets folded flat for mailing. Now decorate it. I tried my first one with double sided dp, which helped me see how it works a little easier, but it is too flimsy to use as the entire card. If you need measurements for decorating, I can post that too in a next post. Just ask. Now to finish my other cards.
I forgot to mention that you need to add a brace across one of the empty spaces to stabilize the card. That can easily be done with a sentiment strip as you can see on my card/s

Grumpy is my son.. he is now 29 years old..I nicknamed him grumpy in my online posts because he was doing shift work
Sweet pea is his Korean girlfriend.. they have an apartment together
Kerra was my corgi who passed from a tumor around her heart a few years ago.. she was 10
It gets confusing because I have health issues...and cognitive ones. I got it into my head I wanted another dog. Now I KNOW I can be a mess so with decisions like this I talk to my son. So recently I had spinal surgery.. my son had to take care of me and the dog. So if I am selfish and just get a dog.. then it adds a burden to my son's shoulders when I am sick. My son wants to travel so he is not ready for a dog at this point in his life
so the short story is sometimes he has to parent me! LOL
Woo hoo Kathy, way to go. It looks so hard, but really isn't. I know my card is going to fool my friend Carl, as he always tries to figure out how I made the cards, I send to him and his wife.

So I freaked out the poor postie! He was dropping off packages for me.. I asked him if he wanted a bottle of cold water.. he looked at me as if I had 3 ears!
Anyways... yesterday it was 10c outside and tomorrow it will be 24c outside..hello spring?
And now my bright yellow blob of a cover up is a mess cause I pulled out and cleaned the AC unit. With abig road beneath my bedroom window... And motorcycles out... The noise does not calm down till after 3am...open winowin is not an option
Morning, yippee the sun is shining, still a little nippy but no rain, some beach huts were blown into the sea at Margate just down the coast and the Thames burst it banks.
Just went down to daycare with GS to be introduced so I can collect him with a password if we need to, he’s just moved into the big class and is totally lost, he had one girl that looked after him before but now it’s more like a free for all, poor boy. We had to sneak out while they gave him some toast!
Off for a walk to Herne Bay, to the bank and shopping while the sun is shining.
Happy Tuesday everyone.....another busy day...1 day to go and this time tomorrow we will have picked up the youngest boy and our empty nest will be gone for a while.....not sure how long we will survive LOL. 4 days to son#2 getting married...whoop whoop. I'm still bedding in my shoes with thick socks...surely by Saturday they will be a little less tight..eek!
Have fun

Good luck Jayne, it will be a shock after an empty nest, we like to have time for ourselves wherever we are as we are used to being just the two of us!
Popping in and out lately. Hope you all are making the best of what ever comes your way, that's what I'm trying to do. I did do lots of scrapbook layouts in April and didn't buy very much, until today -I just placed an order through National Photo for $28! Some fun I'll have when they arrive.
I just can't seem to keep up lately, was tired all the time.
Not sure if I mentioned this here or not, but my granddaughter is expecting a new baby girl. That means Leia (Tiny Tot) and Jovy will have a sister. I would like those of you who care to do so to pray for their health and well being. Kara has had miscarriages and I worry about her. She swears the doc says she is fine.
Anyway, love to all of you. Will catch up on viewing your cards soon.

Jan..thank you...we will need it LOL. We like our own space now too and he hasn't lived with us permanently for nearly 3 years. He also likes his space. We've set the upstairs guest room and sitting room up for him...it's like a granny apartment up there with a kitchenette and balcony. He will never leave and we said we must not make it too comfortable for him LOL. It will be nice to have him home but I expect in a few weeks he will have post-hol blues and we will be itching to get on our hols. He is happy that he will have this house to himself for 4 months....we aren't so sure on that one  The important thing is he is coming home safely and we have such a joyous occasion this weekend.
Joyce Ann....congratulations to you and your family...another poppet on the way...how exciting. I am putting out good vibes for your GD's good health and hope that all goes well. You will have some wonderful scrapbook pages to look forward to creating. Wonderful news.
Happy day everyone.

Our son in San Francisco has a one bed apartment in the bottom level so it will be ideal when the boys are teenagers, mind you the middle level has a family room too so they will all have their own space
Happy Thursday everyone...although it's still Wednesday where you ladies are LOL.
The sun is shining after some rain yesterday...2 days to go...whoop, whoop.
Youngest boy arrived home safely and already there's clothes/shoes everywhere and it feels as though we have an intruder LOL. I'm feeding him up and he's loving his little "apartment" upstairs. I am not going up there although I have to sometime as my craft room is up there but I shall just walk past the items on the floors LOL...I have a new mantra now..."it's just a house, it's just a house".
Just got back from having a pampering session...facial...tomorrow nails and I'll be ready for Saturday...and even better...it's forecast to be 27 degrees now...yay.
Met the future DIL's parents/family last night for dinner and was good to break the ice before the wedding. All got on well...phew!
Enjoy your day

Hello everyone! I am alive and drenched! The rain started earlier than expected! Oh well I needed a shower this month anyways!
People are busy busy! Everyone get out there and have fun then tell me all about it! It looks like I lifted something the wrong way yesterday and I just need to relax. I don't think it weighed more than 10 pounds so I don't think it is the weight that did it. I just wish I could leave my cart down in the garage like I used to. The fire department did an inspection and we were told everything had to be removed from around the cars. I had my cart up next to the big pillar so it wasn't in anyone's way. I really don't understand the fire hazard from a metal cart in the shape of a cage with 4 wheels on the bottom being a fire hazard? Yes others went overboard and we're storing things down there but this was just a cart
Happy Friday everyone....one sleep...Whoohoo. Off to have my nails done soon.
Sally...wow I thought my balance was big lol...I have about $200 or more to add to mine but waiting for the orders to come first.....lol.
Enjoy your day and weekend everyone...ill be back online when I can.

You are not alone in the scatterbrain category. Yesterday I lost my ATM card. The only place I used it was at the bank at the ATM. I went to the drive-thru at the bank and said to the lady I can't find my ATM card and this is the only place I used it. She said she would check the machine because sometimes they stay in them. That's when I realized I never pushed the button to return my card. Thankfully the card was locked inside the ATM and after showing her ID and signing a paper I got my card back!
Years ago, I went to the grocery store, drove home, and discovered I had left my groceries at the store. (That was back when you left the cart at the curb and drove your car up to load the groceries.). Luckily, the guy who helps with the bags saw it and put it in the walk in freezer until I returned. Talk about scatterbrained!
I haven't updated my totals this year at all. I've not been creating, but also not spending much. We have gone through our savings trying to help a family member in desperate need. Keep us in prayer please.

Yup, my totals are getting up there, but partly because I don't pay myself too much for things. I only pay myself like $3 a card, $2 for a blog, etc. and sometimes forget to document it. Spending on the other hand is very accurate with receipts in hand. Also, with the new catalog, the pre-order is always a killer. I should also pay myself for organizing and cleaning up, but never do.
Prayers for everyone and some extra extra for you sis Kathy!!
Ms Lynn send the rain this way. I’d love to have it clear out and refresh our air from all the vog and sulfur the volcano eruption has sent our way.
Love and prayers to all.
Hope your dancing the day away sweet sis Jayne!
Kathy (((HUGS))). Thinking of you and things will work out. Keep strong.
Sis Vicki hope your breathing is better today.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments.....we are up and have had brekkie and soon I will be heading to the hairdressers and then makeup...Whoohoo...big day here.
Spoken with both 2nd boy and future DIL and everyone is excited. I've got my dancing shoes ready and we've been practicing but yep I have to remember I've just had a knee op lol. The little poppets are excited too and can't wait to see them dressed up.
Happy Saturday....it's 28 degrees here...a little breezy but the sun is shining...it's happy wedding day..yay.

Enjoy that wedding and family time Jayne.
It has gotten cold here again. It was 22C degrees and then with the high winds and rain (not as much rain here) it got down to 10C degrees. My thermometer got blown off it's perch, so I can't see how cool it is now. At about 5:30 my neighbour's two huge spruce trees got blown over and onto my lawn, missing my house by about 20 feet. There is one more tree that is in danger of coming down, if the wind velocity gets higher again. If the wind direction changes just a bit, it may fall on my house, so I will be sleeping in the living room tonight and not upstsirs in my bedroom. So much to be thankful for .......no one was hurt and the house is still o.k. and we still have power, while my sister-in-law who lives in town 5 miles away is without power.

All I can say, Ina, is wow. Quite a picture!
Kathy, I hope things get better for your family member. Going through your savings is very scary.
I’ve not been updating either. Oh well. At this point, I think I just need to start from today.
Ok.. so the winds stopped and the clean up is underway! I think mother nature is having quite a fit with everything that is going on. Everyone stay safe
Lynn, the winds here topped 110 kph. Not all the clean up is done, but the trees on my lawn are all cut up into firewood and piled along the frnce line. Only the smaller branches are piled in the dich, waiting to be dhipped into mulch. My neighbours are hard workers.
