Glad to do it. Finding challenges isn't too difficult, but makeing a sample on time is harder.
Lynn, I hope you are getting some pain relief.
I see quite a few of you have moved over to the 2015 thread, but I will monitor both until after the first week of the new year.

Good morning everyone, sorry I have not been posting I have been lurking for so long I miss you guys. Anyways enough of that I promised myself that in 2015 I would make the time to post and visit.
Just tried to upload a photo from my iPhone , couldn't do it, probably me, just a photo from our seafront this morning, 13c, anyway Happy New Year to you all, see you all on the new thread
Happy New Year Jan! It's -8 degrees with a windchill of -17 C. degrees. I just drove to and from Guelph (12 miles away) to pick up my boots from the shoe repair shop. Roads were slushy and the wind was blowing snow across them. On the way, I also has to stop at Michael's as they had packs of Recollections cs on sale for $2.00 each. They are usually $5.99. Seeing as I also just placed an order with Rubbernecker, I will end up the year well over $120. in the red. I'll update my totals in a bit, before I default to 0 tomorrow.

Sharon, I know the story of Jim Elliot! They also made a movie of it called End of the Spear...I fell asleep watching the movie because I was at a cottage with a friend but I read his story before. He was what I consider a real missionary. Learning the language and then trying to convey it so it could be understood. Many obstacles for sure.
Am I confusing Jim Elliot with Nate Saint? Or were they missionaries together? I was in Sunday School today looking through the book "End of the Spear" and it was written by Steve Saint, who I believe was a son of Nate Saint who was killed by the Auca's (I think that was the tribe). I couldn't find other names in the book other than Nate Saint so I am wondering if I am confusing the two or if they served together? Anyone know? I guess I could google, couldn't I? LOL
ETA: Quick google search. It appears Jim Elliot and Nate Saint were two of five missionaries killed there. So I was right after all....I was beginning to think I had confused two stories.

I just read this and was about to answer, but I see you found the answer yourself. I think I was in grade 7 when I read, "Through gates of Splendor' by Elizabeth Elliot.
