Now I can't remember what I credited myself for theses last year.
18 gifts...Is 5.00 too much per set? or maybe $3.00 per gift set. That is like 25 cents per card used, which is what I credit myself when I use send out one of my cards.

Sharon,
I pay myself .75 for each card I make. You could easily pay yourself $5for each gift, in my book!
He does look a little like Richard Gere. Pretty Woman is one of my favorites, too.
After sitting next to him on the couch and at lunch the next day I didn't see it as much as I did last year when I first saw him across the gym.
He does look more like richard when he's wearing his wire-frames as opposed to the black plastic frames. Those make him look really smart LOL

Sharon, you can easily allow $5.00 per set! I allowed $5.00 for my set of 10 greeting cards in a box (and they were photo cards) although the person who commissioned them insisted on paying me $15.00 for the set. I added the extra $10. to my totals of course!

Hey folks, come and join our photo challenge, which is linked at the bottom of my siggie. All we've got so far is Canadian, Euros and French. We need some American and Australian and Spanish money (and anything else too!)

Oh dear, I've only got my little notebook with me here in Texas, and I can't seem to put the link in. If you are interested....go to the photo challenges below the sponsoring company listings. It's challenge number 166.

Thanks. I thought I'd check it out. I need to work with my camera more since I'll be using for the freelance.

Sharon, these are great. Definitely worth at least $5 per set.
I got my totals updated. I have a good start on addressing my Christmas cards, and since I pay myself for giving my cards, I have a good run at getting out of the red. I ran out of envelopes so I'll either have to wait until the store I buy them from is open tomorrow or make a trip to Walmart. Just thinking about going anywhere today makes me shiver. It's only 2 with a wind chill of -9. A huge change from the 50s and 60s we had earlier this week. Of course, I do live in Montana so I shouldn't be surprised. Besides, the cold is a great excuse for making cards.

Too bad you don't have the diagonal plate for the SU scoreboard. Whenever I need an envelope, that I don't have for an off size card, I make an envie out of computer paper. My directions also include an A2 envelope.

I have a Scor-Pal and the Scor-Envi, similar to the diagonal plate I think. But you don't even need that. I did a quick search and here's the first video I came up with. You need a sheet a paper, something to score with and some adhesive. A corner rounding punch is optional and nice, but not necessary.
The video maker also fancies up the envelope flap, but that is also completely optional.
I have the Scor-Pal, too. I don't have Scor-Envi, though. I might have to look into getting me one. I think I some envelope files for my Cameo cutter. After I clean up my room, I'm going to look for them. I need space on my desk so I can get to my Cameo. My room looks like a big windstorm went through it. I'm worse than a little kid with toys. I have come to the conclusion that I need to write personal notes in my cards and address them as soon as I make them; it would be so much easier on my hand. Will save a lot of time, too. Thanks for the link, Toni.
Ladies, thank you for your comments on my calandars! I think 5.00 is what I credited myself for last year. It is definitly a lot of work. Last year I only did 12, I think. It grows every year, because whoever I gave one to last year, I give them calandars again for their frame, then I think of more people! LOL I might me doing 2 dozen next year!
Ina, I will look for the photo challenge. I had forgotten about it. I had done it a couple of timesl
Thank you Toni for the envie link. I am on my way to look at it. I am always making a card that an envie doesn't fit!

Sharon, you would really like the Scor-Envi then. It has the dimensions for the paper and scores printed right on top of the tool for 12 different sized envelopes. Maybe the diagonal plate for SU does too, but I don't own it.
I never do my inserts until I'm sending them as I like to pick who to send the best ones to, some friends we only have contact now by Christmas cards so they wouldn't get my favourites.

Yes we probably are terrible Sharon! But do we care!! I like to think that close friends and people who appreciate the time I spend making cards receive my best efforts.
My neighbour told me years ago that she doesn't like hand made cards, I still send her one and this year for the first time she actually said how lovely my card was and even commented on the insert, said how she loved the way I did it!

That was nice of her! You know your cards are appreciated when someone makes a special effort to thank you for your card. I have a couple of family and friends, who give me the card back rather than toss it. They suggest there might be something I can recycle. Usually there is, like a bow, or charm or something. I think that is nice too. Others say they save them and never throw them away. But there are lots of them, that just throw them away.
Sharon
I hope you'll take advantage of this challenge! Make a pretty card and drop it off or mail it to your local firehouse. You can make it a Christmas card, a Thank You card or combine the two.
Saturday November 15th is National Firefighter's Day.
Unfortunately, they are busier this time of year than any other, second only to Santa Claus.
So your challenge this week is to honor your local Firefighter with a card.
I am lucky enough to have 2 in my family. My BIL is a fire Chief in a small volunteer community. My sister drives the truck and is an EMT/ First Responder.
Show them how blessed we are to have them in our lives and our communities.

Not sure if this counts, I am sending a christmas card to a Fire Chief, he is very special to us all, he helped us when steve had his heart attack last year, Bill is our sons next door neighbour, he called the medics, rang our son and DIL his wife took me to the hospital and they stayed with us until Steve was taken for his op. Bill and his wife have become close friends to our son and DIL over the years and are going to be God Parents to our new grandson next year, they are flying to England specially for the christening.

TODAY is National Firefighter's Day. For some reason I was thinking last Friday was the 15th. Chalk it up to a horrid head cold and the distraction of the new man in my life LOL
Today's Challenge, gets us in the Christmas Spirit.
Today in 1843, Charles Dickens published 'A Christmas Carol'
In his honor, your card must include 2 things...
1) A Top Hat
2) The Sentiment - 'God Bless Us Everyone'
If you're Christmas cards are out for this year, this is a great opportunity to start on next year's cards!
Merry Christmas!

Kelly, you are not the only one making a boo-boo today. I had it in my mind that I was flying home tomorrow. My ticket was for today! I missed the flight of course, as I just discovered it when I went to do an early check-in. And then I also got an e-mail telling me the second leg of my flight was cancelled....so I would have been stuck in Baltimore airport overnight and possibly all day tomorrow, as I found out all flights had been fully booked for tomorrow, so I can't fly home until Wednesday at 5 p.m., getting me in to Buffalo at 11 p.m.. I think I'll get a hotel room, rather than drive another two hours to get home. Oh yes, I can probably blame all my problems on a head cold too!

OH man! I'm sorry for the confusion, Ina. Travel safe and let us know when you arrive.

Oh, no! That sounds like something I would do. At least you get a little more time with the kids. Better being stuck there than in an airport all night long. Safe travels.

Oh no, Ina! What a deal! So stressful! I am glad the good side is to spend more time with family!
Sharon
It's not really that stressful. I'm having more time with the grandkids and my son, but the downside is that my ex-husband is arriving tomorrow. We were supposed to pass each other in the air but I guess we'll have to spend some time in the same house. But if things get too srtessful, he'll just head out to a local watering hole.

Hi all, I've finally had my first cuddle with Charlie our new grandson, joey was in bed asleep as it was late so Ive only had a peek at him sleeping until tomorrow.
it took us 24hoirs to get here, three flights but at least our luggage arrived with us, so we are pretty tired.but thought I'd check my emails before sleeping.

Oh dear Ina, I hate that feeling! I hope all goes smoothly with the new timing and you get home still with some energy left. After that VERY long 30 or so hours home to Australia from Calgary I can certainly vouch for stopping for a rest before you drive home! Good idea!
Great that you have gotten to your family Jan, enjoy all those cuddles!
The two hour flight from Canberra to Brisbane yesterday to get up here to DH's mom was SOOO much less painful than getting to see my parents!
Love to all, wishing you all a lovely Christmas -wherever you may be for it.
Jan, enjoy every minute with those kids. That's a very long day for you, but well worth it when you get to spend precious time with the family. I don't know if I mentioned that I have a new great niece. Charly Renee was born Saturday afternoon. She's named after my dad.
