Looks like we'll get some storms later today... glad I'm inside!
OK - I went into a LSS to give the owner cards I had made from sets I bought from her. And while I was in there, I saw the Envelope Punch Board!! I told Joan that so many people on SCS had mentioned that item & I had never seen one / didn't know how to use it. She showed me how it was used, and I got one!! Considering how expensive it is to get a box of A2 envelopes, this should work out great (this didn't cost much more)!! And at least I could get it & not be trying to get one & they're "Sold Out".
So now I'll have fun working with the Envelope Punch Board!! And my DH was fascinated - he wants to learn how to use it!!

YY! Janet is joining the fun of making envelopes! I love mine!
I use sticky tape. Like Scor tape or the red liner tape. For the sealing part of the envelope there is an envelope glue that you can buy and you put it on and let it dry and then when you want to use it you just went the glue like you would lick the envelope to seal. There are threads about making your own glue, but I just use the double sided sticky tape. I put a piece on and then when I am ready to mail, I just peel off the shiny side and it works just as well.
I would like to get a bottle of the remoistenable glue, but I haven't found any in the craft stores yet. I will take a look next time I get to Staples and see if they carry it. I suppose I could call them and then just have DH stop and get it on his way home from work if they do carry it.
I have the fastenator but can't fet the bars for it any more. I did a scrapbook layout of grumpy and his girlfriend...to allow for more pictures I "stapled" the photos down the left side so you can flip them up and see the whole picture. wondering if the attacher would work?
Excited that I'll be on my way to Dallas early Wednesday morning and arrive on Thursday! Taking the train! Hey, that reminds me of a Monkees song..."Last Train to Clarksville!" It's not too late to catch the "inspired by a song" train! hint hint ;)
I know it's early, but I keep checking back incase Janet posts the last challenge! I'm not "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by John Denver, but am leaving on Wednesday! Since tomorrow is "Monday, Monday" by the mamas and papas and I'll "be packing my bags" (lyrics from Rocket Man by Elton John, "she'll be packing my bags"), I need more "Time" by Pink Floyd, to git r done (larry the cable guy!) LOL Can you tell, I've been totally inspired by song!

Your songs make me think of "yesterday once more."(Carpenters) "If a picture paints a thousand words" (Bread) then so does all your song titles. If you have a nick name, someone will be saying "Wake up Maggie" (Rod Stewart) on Wednesday morning. I'll "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" (Tony Orlando and Dawn), so as you fly overhead you will see me! You are going to have a "Thriller" (Michael Jackson) of a time on your trip!
I have not seen RED...but maybe I can get grumpy to find it for me
I DID unpack the envelope punch. Of course I looked for 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 but they only have 4 1/2 x 5 1/2...Interesting. Was also looking for 4 1/4x 41/4 which one of the tuttie ladies likes...may have to keep the score board AND the punch!

For the 4 1/4x 5 1/2 cut paper at 8 and score at 3 1/2. I'm not sure what the reasoning is for them saying 4 1/2x 5 1/2 is A2, because it isn't, but I've learned to adjust. But honestly, I can find a size for any card I create....
We only have three people who entered a card to the gallery this week! Any last minute participants?? There's still time. By the way, the three who entered are the same three who have completed every challenge!!! I am getting prize envies ready! One more week to go! Also, Lynn will be announcing the grand prize winner at the end of the challenge and I will be having a drawing of participants who have completed at least five challenges. That envie is getting prepared as well.
I will update the links tomorrow, but it may be later. I have to ride to the airport to take my SIL. She is going to the cancer care center for her surgery. Keep her in your prayers. I think surgery is scheduled for Wednesday.
