Love it Dancing the light fanastic.....
That cake looks pretty fanastic too.....
Oh and U asked (in the gallery) if the Hey girlfriend stamp is one or more images. It is ONE stamp with 4 ladies, as U saw it, plus its separate sentiment.
It's from Unity Stamp Company (Cosmo Cricket) #IB-Cosmo-72 ;)
hahahaha my video is going viral, it has 47 views..... that's 47, not thousands, hahaha
Ok I will give it a rest but I am loading another one as I type, multi-tasking is my middle name. This will show you how to ruffle the ribbon for those pretty bows.
Yes I made my background, no I do not like it, yes I used a staw, which was loads better than the spritzer, it didn't even get the air where I wanted it!!!
Have to try this again, you know how I like good things, not yukky ones
I looked in the gallery, how come an image was removed?
I removed the first card I made. It was hideous. LOL I didn't realize it would leave a big thing that says Image Removed! Next time I will just leave the hideous card. It draws less attention! LOL
Good morning! Had to go back about 5 pages to read from the last time I was here!!
Have a dentist appointment this afternoon (yuk!) So, my day is basically useless until this evening.
YCDI14 prizes will be postal on Friday! (I will post when actually in the mail) I still need to get PM from CONNIE for mailing address!!
Lauren, thanks for the chemistry lesson on glossy cardstock and photo paper! I will try SU glossy this evening or tomorrow after I've recovered from dental appointment (it's just my regularly scheduled checkup and cleaning, but I get so hyper over these appointments!) LOL

How funny that it would show that. I thought that SCS didn't like your card for some reason.

Thanks for the info.. Love the stamp... My budget for awhile is on hold but I will have to write that down for future use.. This has been a fun challenge...

Yeah, Connie, maybe they thought it was as hideous as I did! LOL I just wasn't very proud of it and so after I did the second one and it came out much better, I deleted the first one.
Do any of you know if the Cuttlebug B plates will fit in the Big Shot? They are cheaper at Michaels and look the same (other than they may be a bit shorter) but I just wanted to see if I could buy them and use in my Big Shot?

I found some straws in my desk at work, so I'll take them home & make more cards with the technique. It should be a lot easier for me. Loving all the cards.
I'm still working on this challenge. I made two cards yesterday, but am working on a third one today. The first one turned out a little dark, but I was going to use it anyway. The second one turned out pretty, but I ruined both by stamping with black ink before the paper was dry. I actually threw the first one out, something I rarely do. I'll post the second one as it isn't "awful." Today's attempt at the technique turned out nice, but I'm going to give it plenty of time to dry!

I understand the frustration. My first one came out dark and ugly and I posted it anyway. After I did the second, I liked it much better and deleted the first one. Now the gallery shows an "Image Removed" where my first card was! Oh well, that's life.
eta: I just looked in the gallery and it isn't showing the Image removed anymore. Yay!
I did another card and liked the way it turned out. I must say the spritzer tool does not work well for the blowing, so I gave it up and got the straw out.
I just came from the gallery and leaving some love, wow ladies the cards are beautiful. The first card I completed was done on photo paper, it did not turn out the way I wanted but I still like it. I will post once DH gets home with the phone camera.

My very first attempt was on photo paper and didn't work at all. The photo paper grabbed the color quickly and you couldn't move it then. Glad your's worked for you.
I think the spots on my latest card were because I took too long to blow the ink. I was trying to use the spritzer tool and when it didn't work, I had to go to the kitchen for the straw and paper towel.

If you see Angie, please tell her I asked about her. She's not been here in a while.
Thank you for the comments on my last card. I was afraid I was going to have another disaster. Because I tried the spritzer tool first, the soft suede ink stayed on the card longer than it should have. The spritzer tool was getting enough air to it, so I left it lay a second while I went to the kitchen for a straw and paper towels. I should have had them on hand before I started. But it turned out ok, so I guess that's all that matters. I'm going to get some more of that alcohol ink cardstock!
I'm in the middle of making another one or two, but this time with different & darker inks. I'm loving this technique. I wouldn't mind being another hostess again.

Would you like May 6th? That's our next opening....
Here are my two cards, Big Fish worked out until I glued down the image, the glue drew the ink through the paper and left a mark, it kinda resembles the sun shining through the water.
The Cornflowers was done on photo paper and did not spread well, the colours are dark but I love the card and the look.

I will Kathy. She actually quit making cards for awhile, I wish she'd get back into it. I have a SU party on May 11 at her place, maybe she'll get motivated again.
