I sometimes watch a video and want to see the color of the ink
so I can buy it but they flash it so fast it’s impossible BUT on the other extreme thy take so long to show the products that I have to go fast forward and risk missing a key point. I like Teresa Morgan as she shows you a few examples at normal speed. Then she fast forwards through a whole lot but you see every finished result. Her Gelli plate vids are my favs so I am glad you found them Jayne. I had to laugh Jan but my hubby does the same with packaging and mail. He says THIS might be good for a card. Some I keep some I say thanks dear and quietly discard it later on. Lol
Nancy the charcuterie does sound like a Smorebord. Cold cuts and cheeses and flatbreads. I could eat that way every night with a glass of wine. S’mores are wonderful too. I want to watch the teabag videos soon. Not sure when I can make one as I am off for a 4 day break. Then I must do Christmas cards.
Shelly your card link took me to a gallery but I wasn’t sure which card it was.
Hope you all have a creative week. Nice catching up with you all.

Melissa, it is good that there are different artists out there who can share their talents as we are all so different and what suits one person, may not suit another.
What I find sad is when people give the thumbs down to a video. Even if a video is poor lighting, shaky camera, whatever...someone has taken time to do it and I just don’t get why people would give a thumbs down. I wouldn’t do a video as I don’t have time and I’m too sensitive to criticism, and would be the one who takes a long time to get to the point lol.

I watched 2 teabag videos and the texture pastes ones again. I shall watch the rest later today.
We are having a platter today for lunch whilst we watch the 3 second Melbourne Cup race on tv. It’s usually a big event here in Oz and businesses stop to watch it. Thousands of people usually attend but this year it’s just the horses and the jockeys and their owners.
It’s also our wedding anniversary. I much prefer our anniversary when it’s not race day..it will be busy out there and so we shall stay home.
Happy day everyone

So I watched a video of someone taking teabags apart to use for crafting , that’s ten minutes of my life I’ll never get back, ha,ha,
ROFL...that was the girl with the bone folder trying to open the teabag before it stuck . I was saying...come on come on open the thing and get on with it lol. I then fast forward but had to go back as I missed something. The Scottish lady was a bit long winded but I loved her soft accent lol.
Jan, DH offers me stuff too now...I take it and my room is starting to look like a rubbish bin lol.

Joyce Ann, wise words. Thank you, and yes there are no police here. Just come for the chat and if one thing inspires you to create that is good. Sometimes it’s just to be reminded of a technique you may have forgotten about and can use. Enjoy it all and no stress.

Ok here’s a file folder I cut up to make a section in DD2’s journal. It folds in half like a book, but opens to two drop-down sections with pockets. Both sides are covered. I used Tim Holtz’s ticket holder die at the top of the one side. Sure saved me making a bunch of pockets!

Beautiful journal Kandie. I love TH’s pocket die. I use it in my scrapping.
Happy day everyone.

SuZ this summer we had more food like that as we were sick of eating salads with everything and it was just too hot to eat much anyway, we found it better than cooking something every day.
Jean you probably worked out that the challenges aren’t on this thread lol..they are on the separate challenges thread. Have fun. I did use a pearl mixative on my fairy card.
Happy weekend everyone. Hope that you get inky

Good morning ladies. I just finished catching up on reading the challenges for this week, and the WTUI, F4A and MIX sound like an opportunity for a really nice mixed media project. Add in a teabag and it’s all good. I’m already designing something in my head. However, my projects rarely look like what I imagine, lol.

I loved that video! I went right to the cupboard and emptied a couple of teabags so I could brew a cup! Or a cuppa for Jan and Jayne!
Here is my MMJ09 project. I had a ball making tiny fragile “grocery bags” out of my teabags. I did have to put on the magnifying specs to trim and fold the tiny bag bottoms, lol. Thanks, Nancy, for teaching me something new!

Oh yes, the little tea set is one tiny pitcher and one mug. I’ve never used it before today. DH gave it to me, he said he’s had it buried in an upper cupboard since the early 60s. Can you tell by the retro-ness?

Kandie love your card and the alphas coming out of the cup..some gorgeous prints on there. I saw you had nibbled on the bickie lol..I loved seeing your teaset on your craft table. It reminded me of the lady in the video. My mum used to drink copious cups of tea. I rarely drank it..I only like it if it’s very milky and drink green tea or just lemon in hot water. I’m not a typical English girl lol. My mum also used to stand in front of the open fire warming her butt holding her skirt up lol. Now that I did do when it was freezing cold. You end up with patterned red marks all over your legs lol...the things we did when we were younger. Now I rarely see a fireplace. Oh those were the days

I never stood in front of a fire, but I sure backed up now and then to the tall standing heat registers that we had in our older homes. My former MIL would put a bowl of water on top to be warmed by the register and put moisture into the air. Nowadays the registers are painted to blend in with the homes, and they are not taken out because they are part of the original style.
Yes those are molasses cookies and I dearly love them. I was going to take the photo with the cookies intact but my fingers had a mind of their own and stuck one in my mouth, lol.

I am glad to see you are all having fun with tea bags or thinking about them anyway. I love a good fire - we have them here in Central Alabama just because as it never really gets that cold. We did smores in my daughter's outdoor fireplace last weekend and guess who now wants an outdoor fireplace!
I had never really had good hot tea until my 30s when a friend started collecting tea cups and teas. I got into some exotic teas and loved them. Then stopped until the tea bag challenge on SCS. Now that I am on Whole30, they are a total treat for me and I am buying lots and lots of fun teas. I love the idea of tea and crafting at the same time - two stress relievers in one setting so has to be a good idea. Still haven't tried the rocket but I am planning on it!
Finished my tea bag creation as part of the FS challenge today - HERE it is.

I love how spread out the FF challenges are but, like many of you, I feel like I'm always on the computer, not chatting much though, watching videos, trying to juggle how to do daily challenges with FF. Here is my tea bag offering. I had a blast making it.
I finally found the videos I had in mind for my challenge. I will be posting it early so look out for it. Will advise on here too. It is going to be nice and easy this time as with FF and everything else happening I felt we needed easy LOL...that's my excuse. Happy Thursday
