Good morning! Well, last night I was working on the computer - my work computer, a MacBook, and suddenly it froze on me. Eventually it restarted but only came up with a gray screen with a blinking file with a question mark on it. I tried to fix it but it is beyond my understanding. Hopefully one of my co-workers will be better equipped to fix it. Otherwise, I'm dead in the water and supposed to have board meeting tonight too!
Kandie - that is too funny that all three of you were up at the same time! Your pendants and keychains are lovely!
Snow blower repair man just left!! A rock decided to jump into the snow blower on Sunday so repair needed!! $100 bucks just to come decide what is wrong with it!!
All fixed ready for all the snow we are suppose to get this week!!
Kandie, I could have talked to you up at the same time to go to the bathroom!! Hate it waking up at all hours but in our house it is just me that has to go at night!!
Laundry running, frig half cleaned out, and dishwasher loaded so now to look at the challenges for today!

Its gorgeous here! Sun is shining and up to 35. Snow is melting but more is to come overnight. DH is going to plow when he gets home so there won't be so much to plow after the next round. The deeper the snow, the harder it gets to push with the plow.
Here�s what I was working on yesterday morning. Two more keychains, pendants using natural stuff, and assorted little gems and hearts with the leftover resin and bits of alcohol Inks stirred in with a toothpick. The gems don�t show up real well, but they are pretty. The little teapot charm is on a bed of beads, and the square and round ones at the bottom are glitter.
I posted a card for a letter I missed back in December when I was sick - Letter Q. Also, I commented on all your Letter Q cards. Quite a display of creativity, clever ideas and beautiful artwork!
Hi everyone! A quick check in before running to pick up DD1 from the school.
Kathy - yes, thankfully the computer was not only fixed but within the hour of dropping it off! It turned out it didn't have anything to do with the OS update. A hard drive bracket had failed so they replaced it and I am good to go.
Ann - Hmmm, $100 seems to be the diagnosis fee. It was $100 just to have them look at the MacBook. Fortunately, it is a work computer so they pay for it instead of me. It ended up being $132.18 total but I got it back within the hour of dropping it off!
The rest of the good news is that I now have information to back it up. Backups weren't happening, which bothered me, but I hadn't taken the time to follow up on it. Turns out there is a simple way to back up a Mac computer. Who knew?
Hey everyone. Just dropping in quickly to say hello to everyone. I have not been able to catch up on all of the chatter, but do know that I am always keeping my Alpha family in my daily prayers.
Kathy, I did receive my birthday card yesterday. I just loved it and its' contents. Of course I opened it so quickly, I had to pick up some of the sequins. LOL! I just thought it was so pretty and thoughtful. It made my day. I spent all day yesterday going from one dr. office, to the pharmacy, and then to another dr. office. Exhausted when I got back to town, went to the post office and couldn't wait to open the envelope from you. Then, I had...oops sorry this was turning into a novel. Will continue on another day.

Good morning, ladies. DH and I both have headaches today but oddly, in the same place, so I�m calling it sinus, and I prescribe several hot cups of coffee as a cure!
He dropped me off at HL and he went to the grocery. ENABLER ALERT. I had my sales sheet and knew which jewelry brands were on sale, but as I was looking at the sale sections I noticed yellow Clearance stickers here and there in other sections. So, I started over at the beginning of the aisle and looked for the stickers, and next thing I knew, I�d been through both jewelry aisles and had a bunch of clearance items in my cart. So, I moved on to the papercraft area, and guess what, clearance stickers all over there too! So BEWARE, it�s a new marketing technique guaranTEED to make you look at everything! It took me twice as long to shop because I didn�t want to miss any deals.
Sally, you really had a busy day. That�s so fun about the sequins falling out of the envelope!
Catherine, I am so glad your computer problem was quickly resolved. That could have been an expensive repair.
Diane, the Altoid boxes you mailed me are going quickly. Thank you once again for the boxes and all the goodies you included in the box. I�m hoping to get three more made for the auction this weekend.
We had a nice late lunch while we were out, then stopped at Dairy Queen for a small dessert, and then naturally, when we got home, we were so full we both fell asleep on the couch.
Did anyone watch NCIS and Bull last night? They were both so good. Is it true Abby is leaving, or was that a nasty rumor?

I can't believe that a tech savvy person like Cable would be dumb enough to plug a flash drive that was not hers into her computer! Even I know better than that! Several years ago someone did that at a place I volunteered and infected their computers! It took months of work to get everything back to normal. I remember the day like it was yesterday. IT people running through the halls to each office telling them to shut everything down. They even had to have Macafee (I think it was macafee) techs come and write programs to get things going. They were insured, but I know of at least two people who were fired because of it and they were awesome people. One was the guy who plugged in the flash drive and the other was his boss, the head of security.
Big snow storm here. DH plowed last night because we already had about four inches on the ground. I will shovel later. I love our snow shovel. I can push it rather than lift.
I shoveled a few areas, by its still snowing so I only did what would be helpful to get DH to get his tractor out of the shed to plow after work. Its still snowing so I expect to go out every hour or so. I love to shovel, but hate that my family are all at work.
Good morning! We are set to have another day of low 70s for our high temperature today. Unfortunately, still no rain in the forecast.
Kandie - enabler! I have to stay away from HL now! I haven't seen Bull yet but I did watch NCIS. Sadly, yes, Abby is leaving. This is her last season. I have missed seeing Abby interact with Gibbs. My understanding is that there is a problem that has caused Pauley to not be wiling to be at set with Mark Harmon.
Ann - unfortunately, I don't have a change for the crew list. I wish I had a new address to give you!
Kathy - it is hard to believe you are dealing with snow when we are so unusually warm here! When I got the newsletter in my email, I clicked through to the tutorial and then the gallery for the tutorial looking for your project! It is lovely!
It is snowing again here. We shoveled yesterday, and there was a light coating on the drive this morning. DH shoveled half the drive, left for the gym, and it's all covered again. Not that I mind too much. It's so pretty.
I agree, snow is beautiful! That said, DH doesn't want to live where he has to shovel snow again. When he was a teen, he was the only boy in his family and, back then, gender lines weren't so confused so snow shoveling fell to him. And they lived up in the mountains on the way to the ski area so he had a LOT of snow to shovel. (They had neighbors who had to use snow mobiles to get in to their property most of the winter.) Funny side note, when DH moved out and there weren't any boys to shovel the snow for the family...his dad bought a snow blower!
Just finished shoveling again. It has now changed over to freezing rain so I'm glad I shoveled before it got heavy. But now my hands and back hurt! No crafting for a while. Maybe later.
I was surprised, Kathy, that Cable would even assume she still had a job!
Catherine, now that you mention it, I have not seen the usual Gibbs bringing her those monster drinks. It�s been all the rest of the staff. Dang it. My favorite show is falling apart.
Snow here yesterday and DH plowed. Snow overnight and he dug us out this morning. Now it�s snowing again, and expected to snow tomorrow, and the extreme snow Friday after midnight, which sure doesn�t bode well for the auction Saturday morning at 10.
Kathy, yes, the two pendants were made in molds, and I used wet/dry sandpaper in a sink of water to smooth the rough edges. And, accidentally, my fingernails!
That 2-step resin stinks. I�m wearing a mask now to work with the stuff.
Two more Altoid boxes made for the auction, and I�m done with those now because of needing three days to set up. DH gave me two authentic fire department buttons off his retired clothing to put in the boxes. I think I have the gifts for DDs and DGDs done, so I can put all that stuff away and get back to my papercrafting. I�ve started to color a picture for Monday and Tuesday but I keep getting sidetracked!

Kathy - I read that about NCIS and the reason she is leaving as well. I hope it is inaccurate gossip, but the fact that they haven't been in scenes together all season makes it seem that there is a problem between the two of them.
Kandie - yes, it feels like NCIS is falling apart. I do like the new female, Jack. I think she is fitting in better, but it feels like they should just end this season. I don't know what they are going to do though. That was definitely a fun episode last night - though I knew what happened with the attorney at the end was going to happen. I could just feel it!

Welcome to my world on picking up sequins from the carpet from Sis Kathy lol oh what fun and I. Lol over here remembering my shock at first and Des rofl at me having to pick them up lol and your so right they are so pretty and gorgeous.
