Well, actually since last night. For some reason loading a page is taking forever. Seems that if I wait and then click on it again it will open faster, but the same is happening with PM's, posts, etc. In fact, I have posted a few things that aren't even showing. Is anyone else having issues or has my computer done something to slow me down. I don't seem to have any probelms with other sites.
Thanks for validating my beliefs! Now here is another weird one. I coudn't find this thread unless I went to my subscriptions and clicked it on. Why do threads go missing, yet when you check what you've subscribed to you can find it there. The mystery deepens. Who do we email to let them know that their website is loading slower that molassas?
I also noticed today, for the first time, a very small round pop-up - even though I have pop-ups blocked. It was for a survey. It popped up right in front of a card. I've never seen that before. Wished I payed better attention to that. The printing was very small but I think that it was not a name I was familiar with.
Good to know it's not my computer. With all the virus alerts, I thought ... Caught a computer virus once that cause the tech person to take my computer back to the 'out of box' condition. I had to buy a new computer because in the years (5) since I had bought that computer, there were too many updates to programs that I couldn't catch up.
Was pretty sure - actually, had my fingers crossed- it wasn't my computer since other websites loaded normally.
Something must be going on with the site. For the last 2 days or so I've been having issues as well, sometimes it takes a long time to load, or I've been getting a page load error notice which has never happened before. I hope things are straightened out soon because I already spend more time than I should on this great site.
Yes, it's c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g for me right now, though it wasn't this bad earlier. I keep getting database error messages, but in fairness I've also been getting those from Flourishes blog, which has been pretty slow today too.
I'm still having issues today. I send a message to the webmaster asking when this is going to be fixed. Is this what we get because the website was sold again? I'm beginning to wonder if this new comapny can handle the size of this site. Did they realize how big and busy it is? Maybe they are modleing themselves after ATT!!! Grab as many customers as you can and don't support what they are paying for. Sorry, can you tell I'm an agitated ATT iPhone user?
Anyways, I hope they decide to fix this slowness problem. 4 days seems like way too long to me in this day and age.
Painfully slow. At the point that my browser is hanging, the status bar says, "Waiting for www.splitcoaststampers.com...." That suggests the delays are on the Splitcoast servers and not the ad servers.

I was thinking the same thing. I hope it it a coincidence, but...hummmmm!
It worries me that no one from IB has popped in here to let us know what is going on!
Hi, Cathleen -- smbiker posted a day ago in another thread that he has reported the slowness to the tech team. But I agree, it would be helpful to see an official update on the status.

I was also thinking this. No comment here or on the front page. It was nice when they would keep us posted as to why there were issues and when they thought it would be fixed.
I too haven't been able to find threads. I am tryiing to remember to subscribe to any I may want to see later.
We have been experiencing intermittent slowness throughout the weekend. I'm trying to get the tech team to help identify what the issue is. I'll let you know when I have more details.

It's good for me too just now - catching up on commenting in the gallery that I couldn't do earlier.
Thanks for the update, Wade - even if it's just a *we know it's a problem, we're working on it* it's nice to get the feedback .
Ah oh! D-E-A-D slow again!!! I just made a comment in the main gallery and it took forever! The thing is - the green bar did not fill up to indicate that I had made my comment - so I pressed it again - ended up leaving three identical comments!
Hope you can fix that Mnchill or Wade. Thanks a lot for letting us know what is going on.

I'm glad to read that you and the tech team are "on the case," Wade. SCS has been painfully slow for me for several days. I love to give and receive comments on cards, but it is taking FOREVER for a thumbnail to open and at least another twenty to thirty seconds of the hour glass after I've hit Submit for my comment. As I'm sure you know, time is of the essence for most of us, and when things are this sluggish and slow, many will give up in frustration. Please bring us "back up to speed!" Many thanks!
