Personally I'm on strike as far as editing the two master lists I keep on top of goes. That can wait...although I generally try to make sure they're no more than a month out of date. And I totally agree on editing. At this stage I am shooting for getting it as right as possible in one go,no more than two, and adding any later links into another post. But people don't always see that when they expect everything to be in the first post. Last month I had several PM's telling me a link wasn't working.
Julie, I'm finding it can take 3 toggles to get into WYSIWYG, which I presume is because there are now 3 editor modes available in our dashboards. But selecting anything other then the current default doesn't "stick", at least not in any of my browsers. And it's impossible to keep track of where one is with the mode toggling.

In fact, when I start to edit, any existing type is in HTML, but anything I add is WYSIWG unless you click the A/A button. Then it's code from there on out. No switching back.

I'm seeing this too. I've reopened the ticket. (groan)

I can't get into WYSIWYG with ANY number of toggles when editing a post
Maybe it was just a lucky accident...or maybe it was editing something after previewing but before posting. It's all one nightmarish blur at the moment. I even had problems this morning when I made a second post with links for the Tickle challenge. I was so stressed out I almost forgot to move it from staging , after fixing the mess.

What are the 3 editor modes? And is there still a plan to fix the display of the reply to thread box so that it looks WYSIWIG instead of all mushed together like this?
Here in your dashboard in Edit Options, message editor interface. There definitely only used to be HTML and WYSIWYG, and now it doesn't call it WYSIWYG except in the preamble; in the drop-down it's listed as CKEditor. And you can't select it. Well, you can select it all you like, but your choice doesn't "stick".

With every report like this please specify if you are in quick edit or go advanced.
Because in Go Advanced I do get WYSIWYG if I toggle.
On the VSN I have posted my "spot" and when I go back to edit it is all one big mess. So I figure i will hold my spot and hoping that when I need to update before it goes live I can make all the needed updates. I know that when I post my favorites if I do it all in one post and don't try to make corrections it turns out ok.

Yes - and it will retain the formatting even though it looks jumbled in edit mode, FYI.
I posted my TLC challenge on Monday and when I edited to add links the pictures I had enclosed in the post not as thumbnails but in the post were not there anymore...they vanished...but when I clicked edit again and go advanced they were there but not in the final upload thread...so strange

I was in quick edit. that's when I see everything previously there is in HTML. What I add is in WYSIWYG. Unless I click the A/A button, then it stays code. If I go advanced it's all code. I am never able to go back to WYSIWYG.
This is what the Christmas challenge did to me last night. I already had it posted so didn't want to create a new one, but maybe I should have. The only thing wrong was the Pinterest links were bad it said. I just put a regular thread comment link for now.

Thank you for clarifying! Yes, they missed the toggle in quick edit, so that's being worked on. I think it's at the root of most of our remaining issues except the lack of spacing, but we should know soon!
Are they still working on a fix to the signatures? I updated mine so I could share a link to VSN and now my signature block is wonky on card comments. :(

The same thing has happened to me Lisa my signature is fine in PM"s but any comments I make in galleries showed all the coding in my signature, no one could see the VSN reminder. Very upsetting and a complete waste of time. I thought we had an IT company looking after the site, is that right?
Marg, just out of curiosity, could you try leaving a comment not using the quick comment box, but instead clicking where it says "Post a comment" ( just below the difficulty rating, beside "Add to Favourites"). I can't say that it will make a difference, but I did notice that when this bug first arrived on our doorstep, the ONLY person I noticed having an issue like that with her signature is the one person I know used that post a comment - and now hers is fine but many are not. It's just a stab in the dark, I can't try it because no way am I deliberately breaking my signature ;-).
It's no longer running everything together, but it IS adding a lot of extra spaces that I can't see or remove, whether in quick edit or in go advanced. It also keeps dropping the attachments. I added attachments last night, but before I could save the post, I got a message saying there was a problem & it had to be reloaded. It dropped all of the attachments. Tried it again this morning, it did the exact same thing. So no attachments. Makes it a little less inviting for the Inspiration Challenge.
I'm sure y'all are still working on it, but the WYSIWYG vs HTML is still wonky.

That sounds similar to the problems Anita had, she lost all her inserted images when she went to prepare her TLC, and ended up having to create a pdf. It was a shame about the IC...I couldn't have made anything as I was out all day, but I went to the thread to look at the thumbs, and was surprised not to see any.
And I agree...those double spaces with no possibility of removing them are a pain.
I'm trying to edit the birthday thank you links and this is what I get.
I know you're working on HTML issues, but Barbaralynn said to let you know about this, since many have been fixed.

Marg, I was thinking afterwards that when you use the post a comment rather than the quick comment, you get the AA button for switching edit modes. Just possibly switching mode might be worth trying...but it's all just a shot in the dark. I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm prepared to mess up my own signature just to experiment ;-). Staging challenges is more than enough frustration for me to deal with. Plus, I often still see the division by module zero error when I (and others) post links, so I want at least to be able to say if the link doesn't work, there's a forum link in my signature". I'm really looking forward to trying the TLC tomorrow myself.
Several of the tickets are on staging. We've had to break each bug out separately.
I do know the BB code issue is working on staging. The line break issue is in a separate ticket with I believe the toggle.
Signature issues are in a separate ticket.
Like the corona virus, just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it's not there.
No word on a release date yet because many of these are still being QA'd. We thought one was ready as of our call yesterday, but it broke in different browsers so it went back to QA.

Okay so the toggle and coding issues just got released.
There are two known issues not in the release from today that is still being worked on and should be in the release two weeks from now - and that is the line spacing issue on edit and the funkiness around YouTube links.
So on *new* posts you should not have HTML showing anymore. Please let me know if you find that's not the case or any new issues with this release.
Is it correct that there are still 3 edit modes, Lydia?
I wasn't expecting problems so I didn't take screenshots, but when prepping my Favourites list I had to toggle to the third option before my links autoformatted. Normally it happens simply when I click preview post after copying and pasting the gallery links. Nope, so I toggled once and got a lot of HTML code but no autoformatting. Toggled once more and got what looks normal.
Clicked preview, it looked great. Clicked save and part of the color code for Dark Magenta appears, links work though.
Picture #1
Went back in to edit, looks perfect.
Picture#2
Clicked save and it looks like first picture.
Clicked Go Advanced and I get this.
Picture #3
Click Switch Editor mode once, back to Picture 1.
Click second time.
Picture #4
Click third time and display screen is empty!! I backed out and have left it as is.
I've been having a horrible time with master lists too, Carla. After the last fix I thought I'd try to finish off the Teapot Tuesday one for 2019. It took so long to get it right that I'm not attempting 2020 or the TLC till the spacing issues are fixed. Thanks for trying to keep the WT updated. I think I did get a blank screen at one stage, but I was determined to get the year finished off, and just kept trying things till I got there.
Sue and Lydia--I was able to go into this thread and edit out all of the coding. The issue that still remains are the extra lines.

So--this morning I edited my signature to change a date in a swap and now everything is funky. Extra lines and not matter how I try, I cannot get rid of them. I am guessing this is the part that has not been fixed, but just thought I would post it here.
Thanks to everyone behind the scenes that are working on these issues.
I got a message yesterday from Jan (Precious Kitty) that she could not find a card I posted for VSN in my gallery. Now normally that would not draw my attention but she sent me a link to what she was seeing for my gallery and none of the VSN cards were there and my Bio was missing. I sent her a link to my gallery and she was able to see it off the link I sent her.
I thought it rather strange that the link she sent me I could clearly see that a bunch of stuff was missing but it still appeared to be my gallery.
I sent a message to my mom (who views my gallery daily) and she also could no longer see my bio. I sent her my gallery link again and she still can't see my bio.
