I just noticed tonight when we put the text that we want a link to read it auto populates with text for the name of the link and adds an "a" to the end. It also takes out the color when we want to add color to text. This should have shown up as red and said Weekly Favorites Thread. Clearly that is not what it posted.
So the color challenge thread had issues again this week. The spacing problems were back and I had to delete the extra spaces manually. The favorites badge was linked but it doesn't show up in the thread.
Barbara started the thread in chrome then jumped over to firefox because of hte above issues. When she tried to add links the majority of the thread disappeared. Once she switched to editor mode the thread came back but she wasn't able to link the sample cards.
When I did the FS Challenge on Saturday night, I didn't have any major problems. A few extra spaces did appear, but not like before. I was able to link & add colors w/ no problem. The copy & pasted FS Badge all worked. The only thing that really aggravated me was, when I switch editor modes to just change a link, I still lose any sizing added. That happened a bunch of times when I had to switch back & forth. Size attributes just don't want to stick.
The editor just doesn't work with switching modes. That will happen until we do the upgrade and get the ckeditor working. I just don't recommend doing that until it's fixed.

I inserted a picture in my response. It showed just fine in my post while I was typing. But it was gone after I hit submit.
I went back in to my post to edit with a link to the page I was using and it shows on the post, but no hyperlink. Someone will have to copy and paste to their browser to get there.
Using Windows 10 and Firefox browser. All up-to-date.
Even here the link to the thread isn't hyperlinking.
Diane, you can get an image to display in the post by toggling the edit mode till you see the [IMG] brackets rather than the picture, before hitting submit. That does expose you to the risk of something else going screwy, but it's the only thing that works for me at the moment. There's a couple of step out photos in the Picture This thread linked in my signature.
I tried to update my "signature" and ended up in a real mess. I even tried to remove it, and it got worse. Unfortunately, I repeated before I got a PM from Carla telling me not to try anymore because it only makes it worse. Is there any solution to remedy this in the new update? I even tried to delete it completely and made it worse. I'm almost embarrassed to leave a comment with all the "junk" coding at the bottom. :( Thanks and hugs! <3
Edit: Oops! I guess it remedied itself! Yay! However, now I am afraid to do anything to edit again to add my previous "signature." ;)

Can you provide an update on fixes to site issues?
There's nothing to report except that they are all being worked on as a top priority.
There won't be news until we are ready to first, release patch fixes that have been completed and second, completely replace the version of the editor we have.
Because that second part is such a massive change, QA on the new version in our staging environment takes a long time. As soon as I know anything I'll post it - but there's no point in just saying we're working on it every day
I will say I looked at the version of the editor we're going to and it's very much an upgrade you'll love.
We are trying to patch what we can while we test that.
Add me to the WONKY writing in my signature in the GALLERY! Oh it's awful! I am debating leaving comments - which I often do - in the gallery because it's so horrible.
Hoping and praying the fixes coming are one of these issues ......
If not, I've read back on how to fix it - not much is working. Any advice?!
It looks like cards are not showing in galleries. I loaded my card for today's Feature Stamper challenge and when I click the key word for the challenge it is not showing in the gallery.

So we are on track for a release today - with potentially two items being released later - the spacing on quoted replies and a small issue with youtube links.
But hopefully if this goes well today a long list of other issues will be fixed.
These are patches until we can upgrade the editor to the shiny new one. We will wait to install that until after DTGD because a) it will take a month to test and b) we don't want to all lose our minds during that event.
Cross your fingers that today's patches go smoothly!

There is a sync time that if you hit in that window, you're going to see this. No matter what time of day it happens someone will be in the gallery when it runs

So--this is really weird. I am changing my siggy and have commented three times in your gallery Lydia. First time was just with with my old siggy--still wonky. The second comment was when I changed my siggy to just the name of my blog. Second wonky. The third is just my blog, IG and gallery--which is what shows up in any other post. BUT--in your gallery, it is my old siggy with everything still on it--including swaps and other SCS things. But, that does not show anywhere else. It has a bad memory! It is changed again and still shows old things on posts when I comment in your gallery--things that are no longer in my siggy!
Posting links still seems a bit random and require toggling the edit mode - several posts (with what I did for each one noted at the bottom) are HERE.
But I'm very happy to have found that I can edit a post without losing the images in it, colour me happy. And I see that the master challenge lists are mostly restored to normal, so chipping away here a little, there a little I will try to get them up to date. Or I might wait for the new editor to be rolled out, just to be on the safe side.
Two minor things I've noticed since the last upgrade. Smilies are coming out with sideways caret brackets , and posts are staying selected and highlighted after moving with the Thread Tools options (didn't happen with the moderating tools).
Well apparently SOME smilies come with sideways carets. This one isn't in preview, but I noticed it in PMs yesterday and in posts today.

All quotes that I have seen today are inserting odd code and breaking the spacing on the page. It seems to be adding a partial [IMG] tag to something?
I've been trying to use the insert image icon both to edit an existing post and to add an image into a new post. Chrome up to date, Windows 10 up to date.
I'm using the browse your device option, but even after waiting several minutes, the screen remains obstinately blank and I just have to cancel. I've tried drag and drop as well, but since I don't usually use that, I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong. But for sure browse your device, I'm following the same steps I always do.
For weeks and weeks I've been getting double line spacing when I post in the threads. Now it's the opposite. This morning as I posted, I was getting NO spacing at all.... every line was scrunched up together. Even if I put two spaces between paragraphs, I'd get no space at all. To get spaces, I had to hit "edit" and put them there, which did work.
