Dear moderator - there is a user on the ATC swap board who currently has 21 swaps she's keeping bumped to the 1st page - thus making it extremely hard for the rest of us to keep our swaps bumped. There's a second user who also has MANY swaps - maybe about 10 or so. Go see for yourself:
..... people are getting frustrated and even mad .....

I also want to thank you Jen. I don't want to cheat somebody of hostessing swaps if they want but when they do them 'in bulk' and then bump them in bulk, it makes us have to go through the first 3 pages just to find one we are looking for. I don't want to go through 4 or 5 pages just to find something that was posted 8 hrs before.
Thank you for looking into this, if I have been at work all day-I have to go through pages of swaps-just to find the ones I am involved in. I realize that everyone has a right to swap, but feel this situation is getting out of hand. And most of these mass swaps only have about 5 participants-so it is not as though they are serving the masses. Thanks again for your consideration.
Thanks for looking into to this, it is really a pain to have to go 3 pages deep to find the swaps I am in, it is especially annoying when one has an old and slow dial up system. Thanks for checking this out. grammysammy437
Do you all subscribe to the swap threads in which you participate? It is a very easy way to find your swap threads without looking through pages of threads.
When you looking at one of your swap threads, click "thread tools" above the first post in the thread. Then click "subscribe to this thread." Then click "add subscription."
Now when you want to check on the thread, click "Quick Links" then "Subscribed Threads" then you should be able to find your swap thread with ease.

Perhaps it is just on dial-up, but I already use this tool, but more than half the time, my threads do not load and I end up having to go to the main forum. Thank you, and I will keep trying.
I, also, hope you can resolve this. For someone to say "This is my first swap" on ten swaps at one time really doesn't make sense. I feel it is taking advantage of the swaps and kind of spoiling a fun time for a lot of people. Please try to find a way to let them know that too many is too much. Thanks.

Thank you for your time in looking into the problem Kim Andersen mentioned. I think there are plenty of swaps that 21 is a bit ridiculous. I have to question how anyone can possibly keep track of that many. Lots of potential for some angry, unsatisfied people.
I am currently in the CDN based Butterfly Butterfly swap. I am going to post to that swap that I will be dropping. This is due to the fact that I do not wish to have my items sent to the potentially confusing situation of someone having at least 11 swaps due on one day.
I hope the hostess can keep up with all those swaps. Please do not consider me a flaker.
I am going to post to her thread that "due to the current situation, I must withdraw from this swap. That's all I am going to say, as I do not wish to flame someone or keep someone from swapping with an honest hostess, but it should be up to me to protect my artwork.

As for the butterfly swap that teenastamps mentioned, I also joined in this
swap, but unfortunately, I had already mailed my work several days ago and
prior to this controversy. But just to let you know, that I won't be making any comments about this on any thread and hope the hostess is able to carry out her heavy load. Also when I joined it, she only had three swaps
posted, so I felt safe in joining. - Norma

thank you for your attention to this matter and for the suggestions in managing threads.
Being newer, hunting through the pages of swaps has been the "best" way for me thus far. I will try the new methods. But still share concern with all of my swapping friends on the amount of swaps that someone can host.
Dear moderator - any news on this situation? I was thinking of starting a new swap - Just One! - and I don't think I will because I'll have to bump it 5X a day for pities sake!
Dear Moderators: Please? This is such a fantastic community serving so many. Please do not let it be spoiled by one or two people. I find it very disconcerting that a person who joined sometime in April already is approaching 2,500 posts, most of which are bumping her own swaps or asking other people to bump them for her.
I would like to thank Kim for actually sending me a PM last evening (even though she did start the SWAP HOG thread;)). A person cannot correct something they do not realize is a problem, and a message from a moderator with no explation really doesn't help you to understand the problem either. SO just to put this out there, I will only be bumping my swaps once a day, except to reply to something someone has posted if necessary. I also will be bumping them a few at a time instead of "all at once". Thanks Kim, for someone who was simply try to add new ideas, I really appreciated your message and our chat.
Thank you mammachicken for understanding our frustrations .... You've been very approachable and friendly ... we so appreciate your willingness to cooperate
I look forward to getting to know you better around the ATC board - it's a fun place and an awesome group of ladies - It should be a great summer for swapping!
Just curious, what happened to this committment from you?
