Default which glue?

i saw a really cute idea using clay pots and saucers, the small ones.
you take a 3" pot paint it and a 4'' saucer painted to match. turn the pot upside down and glue the saucer on top of it.
sorta looks like a birdbath. it was used as a table dec to hold a cupcake!

which glue would you use to glue them together permanently?

I would have thought you want something like E6000 to give a really good bond but maybe somebody has tried it and could chime in?

HTH!
