Today I used the stipple butterfly for my challenge card. I will never get rid of this stamp because it's just what I consider a *classic*. I know a lot of demonstrators are clearing out and getting rid of retired sets, but what are some that you have kept over the years that you just can't sell or get rid of?
Mine are stipple butterfly, roses in winter, terrific tulips, mixed bouquet, and balmy breezes. I thought it would be great to hear what some of yours have been.

Most sets are out of mind as soon as they are out of the catalog. There are a few that I still love and use and will never sell: In Full Bloom, a Christmas set with 2step poinsettias (sorry don't know the name), Heartfelt Thanks, Eat Cake and either Bloomin Wonderful or Mixed Bouquet.
Mary Beth
Heartfelt Thanks, Noble Deer (got that one at the last club before it went away), Lovely as a Tree, those three for sure. Maybe Peaceful wishes....balmy breezes (missed that one)....
I have only been into Stampin' Up! for 3 years or so. Not hard core. Now that I'm a demo, I really don't want any retired stamp sets, because I can't demo them.
But I think I'll be keeping stamp sets like Happy Everything and Celebrate Everything. I always tend to grab for these.
And out of the new catalog...I'm constantly playing with Upsy Daisy.
Boy, that's a tough (but good!) question! I've been stamping for about 12 years now, and many of my all-time favorites are from the early, early years, like Decorator Shelf and Quilts Give Comfort. More recent faves would be Lovely as a Tree, Wonderful Wings, and Roses in Winter. Thanks for starting this thread; I look forward to seeing others' favorites.

Count me in as another who will never part with Lovely As A Tree. I also love Heartfelt Thanks.

Oh Yeah StampingShawn! I really wanted to put Feathered Hope on my list but had to only use 5 of the 6. So happy that someone else has that in their top 5. I will NEVER give that set up and that branch with the 3 birds sitting on it and the leafy branch are among my all time go to stamps.
3 cheers for Feathered Hope! Thanks for putting this on your list.
I've been stamping and buying SU since 1996 so it was virtually impossible to narrow down my list to only 5 classics:
Natural Beauty
Lovely as a Tree
Fern Lace BG
Feathered Hope
Handpainted Petites
I also really love Garden Pleasures, Touch of Nature, Seasonal Birds, Little by Little, Victorian Lace BG, Stipple Floral, Coast to Coast, Meow Meow, Bow Wow (SU needs better animal sets like they used to have!) & Abundant Joy

Now the list of sets I will never part with? MUCH longer... at the top lies:
New Little Someone
Web Wishes
Merry & Bright
Priceless
Always
Shapes & Shadows
Pocket Fun
Silly Sealife
Button Bear (my first love); Botanicals (it'll never leave my house), Roses in Winter (classic 2 step SU set); Key to My Heart (so beautiful) and Stipple Butterfly (always a wow)! Those are my top 5 that I own
Classic set's I wish I owned: For the Love of Chocolate; Stella Stamper

What was I thinking to leave out DD Hydrangea, an amazing enduring beauty... but that makes 6, something has to... hmmm... nope, I can't take anything off the list. Ya just gotta deal with it!
Lovely as a tree
Loads of love
Natural beauty
wild wild West (would pick it up in a heartbeat)
Classic Convertibles (I cannot believe that it was 25.00 canadian and now it goes for 50.00)
I don't have a classic list, but i think it's clear that Lovely As A Tree, is true classic. I love way too many to narrow it down.
The thread did get me to wonder what SU's best selling sets were/are. Although, I'm not sure if that info answers the top 5 classic list because, the sets change over time as well as the customers do. But I'd still like to know SU's top sellers.
Thanks for this ?, I'm enjoying reading every one's list. Not to mention maybe will we see some new uploads with some of these classics. I really enjoy seeing cards done with older sets. Maybe it because I keep ALL of my sets, they go back about 12 years.
Here are the ones I think will ALWAYS be in style:
- Lovely as a Tree
- Garden Silhouettes
- Baroque motifs
- Peaceful wishes
- Natural Beauty
Lots of other sets that have tremendous staying power:
- Balmy Breezes
- Changing Seasons
- Christmas Cardinal
- Coast to Coast
- Set Sail
