OK, Please think about it before you join in. If you would rather not hear suggestions for improving your gallery items, please don't play. IF you DO want to join in, go to someone's gallery (who IS playing) and offer them your eye on something you see. Do you have a great idea to add to their card? Would another color work better? Do you have an idea for better layout or placement of things? How about a suggestion to try the layout again with XYZ stampset? Of course there are lots of reasons why something is not on the piece (I don't own it) or etc. I, for one would love some comments about the first impression my card gave someone, not just "nice job". ya know?

I'm up for this! It bugs me that constructive criticism is viewed as negativity and "unwelcome" - I like the idea of your kind of feedback. IMO, it's the only way to improve.
I'd love to play - I'm fairly new at stamping - and really need constructive criticism. I know some of my cards need "something", but don't know what it is. Will try to offer helpful hints in return!

Looking through your galleries, one thing I think would be VERY helpful and appreciated, is to provide more information, especially with a special project card.
I see a couple of you are kinda new, and I remember when I was new - I would see 'project cards' [magic sliders, treat packaging, card set boxes, tea bag folds] and be so excited to try something new/different. It it very helpful, in the learning process, that there was a link provided for the project/tutorial/directions, etc. Its as easy as using Copy/Paste clicks. There is nothing more frustrating that wanting more information, and no where to find it.
I am also one of those believers that feel it is a courtesy to put some basic info in the 'Photo Details" box, when uploading photos. This has always been a big debate topic - it is again on the forums, too- but I try not to be selfish with my knowledge, and dont always have time to 'be referred to a blog'.
thank you all for sharing beautiful work, and good luck-
Valerie

This sounds like a great idea.... I'm always up for figuring out how I can make something better! I'll try to leave good suggestions as well.

You guys are making this HARD because your cards are so NICE as they are! I feel like I'm nit-picking on trivial details... I haven't seen an ugly card yet!

LOL
You want an ugly card... how about my gallery...
I don't have much there.. but there is more comming. I would love to have comments...
SO I am going to go see twinwillows gallery.
I just had a couple of thoughts about this thread.
1) are we keeping in mind that a card may have been created following the rules of a 'challenge' [i.e. required absence of an item, or specific color choice.]
2) Is it gonna look funny if we leave our comments on the member's actual card page? For anyone viewing the card after that, they dont know the criticism entry was solicited, and could be misunderstood.
just thinking, that's all --

When I left my comment I put a reference to this thread, not a link, just a refrence. I left what I liked about the card and what I would change/done different.
I checked out Forestnymph and Vee. This is a good thing. I would much rather do this than nice card or something like that. Thanks for starting it Vee.

ITA.
I added something to my sig line so it should make more sense to other commenters who might think I'm being randomly harsh or something.

Wow! This is a hard challenge. I visited many of the galleries above and am awed by everyone's creativity! You ladies do wonderful work. I struggled to leave a few comments but hope they will be helpful. Thanks all for playing.

Fixed my signature! It's not easy leaving comments - especially since I still "borrow" ideas from other cards, reconfigure and combine them and sometimes come up with something reasonable. Other times - well, things happen!

I've been having computer issues so it's hard for me to get to all of the galleries right now. I did want to say that some very helpful comments have been left for me ~ thanks for taking the time, ladies !!
OK.. slaps hand.. I am bad.. I am sorry on the diagonal card I didn't link it.. but the measurements are in the rsources page.... can I add that after the fact??
And I did orange because it's outside my lil colour box .. something funky and new.
I've perused a few galleries and left comments....

I just put another card in my gallery - Java Bellas. It's for a coffee swap I am in. I'm not sure about the blue I used. I wanted coffee/cocoa colors, but also wanted to bring out a color in the image. Please let me know what you think.
