Hello, my name is Jenn, and I am a new proud owner of a Cricut that is only a few days old! **still grinning from ear to ear** lol
I hope you all don't mind me joining in on your wonderful chatter here. I have learned so much from the FAQ thread, and I hope to learn a lot from you all too.
Oh, and I have a really bad case of Cartridgitis. LOL

Hi Jenn: Welcome to the wacky world of Cricuteers! I got mine about a month ago and LOVE LOVE my CC (cricut) as well. I just bought 4 more cartridges and can't wait to play!
Make sure to share some of your work so we can all be inspired!

I have just really started creating pages with my Cricut today, after just testing and seeing what it can do, learning how it works, etc for the past few days.
I have just really started creating pages with my Cricut today, I am kinda glad to hear that there isn't a cure for my disease! LOL I am enjoying it!
wow cute LO's I love the colors and the papers. And as far as the disease goes from what I here It won't kill ya, but there is a wee bit of suffering involved in deciding what carts to buy!;)

Awesome LO's Jenn...seems like you got the hang of it pretty quickly! I bought the CC because I want to start scrapping our family as well this summer. You won't have to painfully have to cut out the letters by hand anymore. I have the WIMG cart and have not used it yet. I was playing with the CC last night to make a card tote. I was looking through the WIMG cart and found all of the different things each character can do (that is if you haven't figured this out) - if you flip to the back of the book, there are some color coded pages that help you figure out how to use the different characters and features. It also shows what something looks like in a thumbnail picture so you have an idea of what a specific character(s) will look like completely done. It is pretty neat!
BTW, you have done some great work...I was just checking out your blog and pics of all of your projects. Great job!
don't get mad at me but, I got my AC Moore ad early this week. starting Friday the 15. All Cricut, Zision, sizzix & Cuttlebug merchandise is 40 % off. Xyron refills are also 40 % off.
I am positively drooling. I was supposed to purchase more SU stuff, but I am currently torn. SO many things to buy & so few dollars. If I tell my DH I want to go back & get more things this week. He will kill me. That would be 3 weeks in a row.

What is a girl to do?
do it .. you only live once! LOL!!! I'd go for AC Moore; the SU stuff will always be there (almost) and the price won't change (no sale, etc).

There are times I am glad I dont live near an AC Moore and times I would love too, I do not envy your position,
But a Girl does what a girl wants, My favorite quote in these situations is,
"Its sometimes easier to get forgiveness than Permission!"
Well I had a very productive day yesterday. I used my cricut a little bit.
I've been working on making 18 of these mini composition books. I listed most of the details to my blog yesterday. Used the Mickey Alphabet and Jasmine for corners and George for rounded corner squares.;) Hopefully today I can use my cricut again, and hopefully tonight it wont be impossible to log on.:p
I was wondering does anyone have Birthdays and Beyond? picked one up yesterday for 45$ on red tag at my walmart. I haven't opened it yet because I am thinking of returning it. I am just not sure how much I'll use it. I was kind of hoping it would cost 25.00, just because I dont know how much I would use it. It got great word things but nothing you couldn't do a different way. SO who has used BB or owns it and have you used it much?

I don't have BB I had that and celebrations in my hand one day and picked celebrations because I though I would use it more.

I decided the samething and I returned BB today, I just dont think I'll use it that much... I have Celebrations and Doodle Charms and I like them for their variety.
Hey girls! I thought I would check in. My mom & sis are here visiting. I'm really not Cricuting much at all this week! I thought we would be making lots of scrapbook pages but haven't. Me & my sis did get my mom a Cuttlebug for her birthday, though. She loves it! Other than being really sunburned not a lot going on. Hopefully I will get to scrapbook when they leave on Saturday. I have loved having the company, though.

I was wondering what the expressions cost in the USA because in Calgary, AB, Canada at Scrapbookers Paradise it is $799.00http://www.scrapbookersparadise.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=40771&sort=2a&filter_id=32
That's a big difference, especially when our dollar is close to par with USA dollar.
Kathy
Kathy, I think the retail in the US is $499. I believe that PC has to pay different taxes to sell outside the US, right? I'm not sure how all that works. I just know that SU is always higher because of certain legal issues.
