Night Rachel. I was up in my scraproom for most of the day but did not use my Cricut much. I've been blogging all day long!! I won't be able to keep that up or I will never get caught up on my scrapbooking!!

Yeah tell me about it! LOL. I need to figure out how to do the fishies on my animal kingdom cart. I was trying to do them earlier today but I think I did them wrong. I want to make a border with a shadow for a LO and I was also trying to do some other fishies in two different colors but I think I was supposed to hit shadow. have to try again tomorrow! Good night!
I have a Cricut question, my screen has been going blank lately, right in the middle of typing things in it. It's quite frustrating. It even continued to happen after turning it off and resetting it. I always turn it off to change carts, and it will happen even after it's been sitting off for awhile, so it's not overheating that's doing it, I don't think. Any suggestions??? :confused:
Well how sad is this. I just got both disney carts for 60 each from kim today I got a coupon from the LSS Crafts Direct in St. Cloud MN for cricut carts 44.88 disneys 54.88 I am justifing the purchase because I didnt have to pay tax.
But here's the link for the coupon it is only good the 5th & 6th of May. instock only.
I may be persuaded to run and pick up a feew carts I need to see. but tax here is 6.5%
Remember that you also didn't have to pay shipping AND you get the satisfaction of knowing you helped one of the "little guys" - not a big store!! (Just tryin' to help ya out here!) You only woulda saved about $1.50, and with the price of gas, a trip to the local store woulda cost ya at least $5!!! (So you actually DID save $$$, see???)

Geez I don't know....that sounds weird. Do you think it happens on specific carts?? Maybe it's a bad cart.

I bought two carts at M's sale and told myself they were for mothers day, oops I've opened and used 1 of them,... Now this (LOL) gets to be Mothers day... KWIM. I just dont think I'll be as lucky as ____(wendie?) whose DH actually stopped in the LSS and picked up a cart for her... I am telling the DD because they'll actually be up there building a Habitat House that Sat. So I will suggest they get one from my wish list....
This is going on to the point of rambling so I am going to go Have a Good Day Everyone.

Ok am I a bonehead???? I am trying to make a fishie border and I just don't get how to do it. Someone have an example so I can see how it's supposed to look with two different colors??? TIA!!!!!!

Nope it wasn't my husband. He did go in Wal-mart and buymy machine and 2 carts at Christmas. He wouldn't go in on his own and buy stuff. But he doesn't care what I buy.

Flag Day is June 14th! that way you can pick yourself up something when your out shopping for Fathers Day:twisted:
Ok I looked at the cricut website and there isn't much of a gallery...I just need to see how to do borders and how to layer using the animal kingdom cart...
If you use the border option it gives you three of the one animal, The shift then gives you the add on pieces. on some you have to cut the shift twice because you want multiple colors. Printed papers also look cute for the body of the fish. On the fish I have also cut the face portion off and just used that and the tail and added the fin. cutting in the shift portion in two colors helps. HTH
If you cut the border twice and flip it upside down you can place the mirror image in the opposite corner. I have also just cut the single animal out and put it in an opposite corner. The other thing with the fish is I cut the fish bowl out of a color and a sheerer vellum then it kind of looks like a fish bowl. I get a more sheer vellum at a local print shop. Don't forget the sound option also some of the sayings are darling. Also doodlecharms has some great beach and seahorse if you are just working on an under the water theme.

On a side note: My daughter's friend was over today saying how her brother was complaining about tearing his ACL and he wasn't going to be able to do sports for nine months and how miserable the nine months would be and how unfair, my brillant daughter just pointed out matter of factly that at least he wasn't pregnant(9mo). lol... I thought good for you you have figured it out already!;)

Sure any excuse to buy a cart can be justified. Just find an ancestor born in those countries and you've got cultural celebration reasons. Actually who needs that. Today can be Happy Last Day of April and tomorrow, the more known day MAY Day, and every one know you need WIMG to make a decent May pole with flowers, and then Sat. My oldest DD's favorite Cinco De Mayo which is also her B-day. Wow we have many reasons to Celebrate just this week.;)

I noticed you had a VSN thing in your siggy, can you explain how VSN works. Does each different thing start every 45 min., I have read it each time but I dont understand it enough to jump in yet. I dont get how each separate person works and how you post verses where you get the information. you can PM me.;)

You should join the fun!!! On the hour, every hour during VSN, a new challenge is posted. The only real rule is that you must complete your project in 45 minutes. I actually set my timer because I'm very literal, and even one minute over would be cheating to me. Then you have 15 minutes to clean up your area, grab a snack and do your upload if you want. I wait and do my uploading later. Also, you don't have to complete the challenge during the hour it's posted. You can do it any time before VSN is over-just don't take more than 45 minutes. You don't have to do them all. I think I did five last time, out of about 20!!
