My experience has been different. With the Stampin' Up! vellum (I like to use the cardstock weight), the classic ink works beautifully, but you do need to give a few minutes to dry. Also, the SU markers work perfectly. I made a votive holder with "windows" of vellum, embossing the image and coloring on both sides of the vellum. It is beautiful!
