STAMPING ON VELLUM

HELP! Would someone please let me know what type of ink to use to stamp on vellum? Is there a difference between stamping on vellum and stampin on the SU vellum cardstock? Can you color with the markers on the vellum?
Thank you!
Lynda

You need to use Staz-On to stamp on vellum or it just wont dry. The color from ordinary markers wont completely dry, I would stamp the image on white and color it, then if you want the look of stamping on vellum you could stamp the image again on vellum with Staz-on and the colored image will show through in sort of a heathered look, very pretty.

I love working with vellum. Here's some great advice on using vellum from the Cloud 9 site: http://netnet.net/~cloud9/tips/index_tips.html

Hope that helps. :D

Sorry the link didn't work quite the way I intended. Just page down the index on the left and click on vellum.

My experience has been different. With the Stampin' Up! vellum (I like to use the cardstock weight), the classic ink works beautifully, but you do need to give a few minutes to dry. Also, the SU markers work perfectly. I made a votive holder with "windows" of vellum, embossing the image and coloring on both sides of the vellum. It is beautiful! Here is the one I CASEd.
