The Cuttlebug dies were not made to cut anything thicker than cardstock. You need a heavy duty die like that Sizzix Originals or Bigz to cut alumnium.

I carry a 1/2 sheet of card stock with my punched circles punched from black card stock glued on the 1/2 sheet. I then label the sizes underneath. This way I know what punches I have in what sizes....

My point was that there are times I like using my SideKick instead of my BIG SHOT!!! So I think she might like to have it around. It is much easier to transport and you can use some of the same dies....
