For me the allure is to be able to restamp in exactly the same spot in order to fix an incomplete image. I can't do that with a Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Daffodil and Saffron are quite a bit different. I don't think I would substitute them. I think you're right about the pinks and reds though. Those couild be interchanged quite easily.

I like SU Whisper White and SU classic ink for just plain stamping. I like Gina K and Memento ink for coloring. Like Stamphappy said, it takes some trial and error to find what works best for you.
