Scrappin' Challenge 2018Can you believe this is our 10th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2017 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2018! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2018! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2018 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc18feb"

YTD: 5/12 (will be once I get off this site and complete what I started last night and upload it
Goal for February: 10 LOs and 6 cards....not a lot but I know my limits, although I do have time on my hands as I have another op coming up in 2 weeks
Thanks again and happy day

Hi Jayne ... I love that our goal setting is "just for fun" and keeps us motivated to scrap on .... We all had such fun in January, I hope it continues ....
It's been a little crazy/busy with the start of "show season" but it should calm down somewhat in February for me this year. I was a little quiet also because I was being "crafty" .... I have 1 card kit out of 5 to finish, I completed all the others and I did some pages too .... I had hoped to finish all my December 2017 Scrapping but didn't quite get it all done in January
It's all good ... it's a new month filled with new pages to finish, LOL

Lela, wow you did great nearly completing all of your card kits. You and Lynn must stay up late LOL.
Sleep well ladies. I need to check out the challenges again and work out what I'm doing next. Nite

I completed 17 pages in January. Woo-hoo! My goal for February is 10. I hope to complete it as I've got visitors coming in the middle of the month for a week. I have to clean up my craft room so they have a place to sleep. Ha ha!
Can't wait to see everyone's projects this month.
YTD: 17
Feb Goal: 10

I'm a "confirmed" Night-Owl! Some mornings and me are not friends but coffee helps!
I just keep telling myself ... "no more card kits, no more card kits ...." I like them when I see them but I don't ever seem to reach for them to complete them. One more and the Card Kit Stash is gone ....

WOWZA, Lynn did 50 pages in Jan? You are a rock star! Great job to Andy with your first month kicking it in big and Liz back at it and going strong! Top 3 listed setting a nice bar for those still yet to post. Great job ladies!
I surpassed my Jan goal of 10 and finished 17. I’m going to make a push to do 20 this month. I have a boatload of Feb birthdays, too so this is going to push myself a bit more to not spend all my creative time on cards.
Hubs is going to be gone on a couple of business trips this month which may actually help me get more done! That’s what I’m hoping anyway.
This month I am going to be working on a scrap kit that I picked up last September at a crop. I had ordered it a year ago then picked it up at the September crop (thats right I am signed up again this year!!) That kit in itself has 20- pages so if I get them all done I will probably end up with more than 20 for the month.
The other thing I am doing this month is getting my albums in order. Getting information on the spine so I can tell what is in them without having to take book after book off the shelf to check!! It gets a mess like that when you don't scrap chronologically but you do like keeping your book chronological!! Then I have a 12x12x12 box full of layouts that need to find homes in albums.
That is my goal for the month!!!

Sharon, I signed up for two scrapbook retreats, one in April and one in November! I had so much fun last year. I felt like signing up for all four offered, but have graduations in May, and a trip to see Son, too. And, in ?August I always do DTGD on SCS!
Also wanted to tell you, I have same problem with scrapping out of order! And I have a 12x12 plastic case with pages with no home! One page has the grandkids riding same bike at different ages. Don’t know where that goes. Another is grandma and granddaughter having tea all different years! Things like that . Maybe I should start an album of random memories? LOL
I also scrap out of order. I'm working 2017 this week and the next in the pile of things I want to do is 2008. I put all my finished layouts in a pile and my sweet hubby puts them in albums for me. I think my randomness drives him a bit crazy becuase as long as the layouts are in the right year album, I just throw them in. It makes him a bit nuts to look through our albums and look at Christmas before Easter, so he took over putting the layouts away.

Good Morning All!
One of the joys of homeschool is getting to spend all day with the princesses and today all my little Groundhogs got to see their shadows, so I guess we should been expecting six more weeks of winter here at the canyon. We are still waiting for the first six weeks to come... its like 75 degrees again today!
I have been hanging around the galleries leaving some smiles and kudos... glad to have so many new peeps with such awesome inspiration.
Got a little sidetracked and wasn't able to finish my last layout for January, so I guess I will start February out with a partially done layout! My goal for this month is 5, and my YTD is 5.
Andy how lucky for you to have a hubby who will help out with getting your pages in order! Love it! I am also very random at scrapping photos - any year is game! I have vowed this new year to work on older photos before printing new ones, we'll see how long that lasts since I'm already wanting to print recent ones to scrap!

That is what I am trying to do! I am trying to get the 80s done then the 90s! I have a long ways to go!
Happy Saturday everyone...gee it's muggy again here...32 degrees. We have an Australian Citizenship BBQ to attend tomorrow and again the forecast is the same. Some South African friends of ours have become Aussies
I'm not really a random scrapper and try and stick to albums I need to complete...such as the kids, poppets, travel, etc. When I've attended CTMH and other crops I've made what they offer at the crop and end up never putting photos on them as they usually aren't the right colours, but maybe I will just add B&W photos one day as they are just thrown in a box when I return home from the crops...mmmm ;)
I've started a jumbo tag that I made and want to finish this week for my Year in Review Album, plus I have photos for the WordArt challenge and my COMMIT word. Not started the travel album yet and the photos are sitting on the table.
On Monday morning I've got a craft group at a friend's....6 of us get together each month and rotate homes. We all make cards at that and I need a birthday card for a friend, plus going to make a couple of Valentine ones for the poppets and for the challenges. That's the plan. ;) Sometimes I do more talking than making...LOL...as if :rolleyes::cool::p
Have an awesome day and happy creating everyone
