Oh Lela, this gives me an idea! One of the ladies I had worked with back in Virginia posted a great memory making photo of her boy and I said how I thought it was a "great one for keeping" and asked her if she scrapbooked. No, she doesn't but wished she had the time. This idea of making kits and even some nearly done pages for her came to me. She can go buy the album as the cost to ship wouldn't be smart. I know I have plenty of stash and it would be fun to see what I could put together from it.
Yes, I'd done a major purge of paper last year but still have some paper and esp the kits I'd picked up at classes that I'll never use. I added stickers, ribbon, markers and diecuts for a box to send up this week. I also had a Cricut Paper Trimmer. She said they only had one so this will be put to good use.
The Local Center here by me doesn't have "live in" support so they don't take supplies but they do take cards. I have a box of "card fronts" that I got from a long time ago in swaps that I need to make into cards and send over to them as well. Perhaps that will be a good April project ...;)

What's your plans for today and this week? We have had a day of house chores and a friend visited. Hubby's first day without a headache...yay. I think he has given it to me....LOL.
I had some sad news last night of a golfing friend who has just had a brain tumour removed. :( It was such a shock as I only chatted with her 10 days ago and she was fine. She is home today and is awaiting the results and tells me that she is determined to beat it and has had a scary week. I am sending out lots of positive thoughts.
I also facetimed my sis in the UK and it started to snow whilst we were chatting. She gave me another recommendation on reading...how will I find time to fit it all in...;)
Not sure if some of you ladies have been receiving happy mail the past few weeks but maybe check your LO's......;);) I hope they brought a smile to your face and I may be stealing some of your ideas...LOL
I still have my craft table to tidy up...that is a job for tomorrow. I've also made a list of all the challenges in recent weeks and over the months I would still like to do...gosh the list is very long. COMMIT, COMMIT...LOL
Sharon, I like Jaynenhooe....most of my friends call me Jayney and I like that too....I think it was supposed to be pronounced Janie (Jayney) but everyone left it at plain Jayne...LOL...a lot of people forget my "y"...small things I know but I like my y...haha.
Nothing else happening this end today...soon will be time for dinner and we are watching a show on Netflix called "The Crown"...awesome viewing.
I have my stitches out on Wednesday...whoohoo and shall hear what the specialist says about my op. I fear that as much as I think that I will be back into life next week that I may be healing still a little bit longer...at least I am moving better but still RICEing...LOL.
Happy day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone, Happy Monday!
I can't believe that we are coming to the close of another month in the new year already, I had a great "Crop & Swap" this past weekend and look forward to doing it again. Completed 3 layouts and swapped around 4 new cards. I will post pictures later... I have slow uploading internet this morning. :(
Good morning all my favorite scrappers! The month is sliding away.
With our talk about giving stash lately and not having access to any charities what want the such, I've decided to make up a packet to send to a friend who has a young boy. I do believe she has an interest in this hobby so I hope to help her out. Still forming my ideas of how/what just yet.

that looks interesting .... Although I think I'm finished "re-organizing" for awhile at least ... Sunday I did another "reorg" of papers and I'm SO happy with how it came out. My shelves are now sorted by "theme" and my Cardstock is sorted by Color. It's going to work well I think. I also filled 2 boxes (1 paper, 1 embellishments) to send to the Women's Support House so I'll FedEx those tomorrow ...
I can't believe February is coming to an end, wow! Next month I think I'm going to play along with a "challenge" I heard about on another site "CalvinBall". It's kind of a crazy, chaotic, scrap as much as you can Challenge. I've not done it before but good to try ... unfortunately, I'm traveling the entire month, I leave on Monday so it will have to be "road scrapping" again but that worked well in Jan/Feb. I'm deciding between "Travel" layouts or Zoo layouts. I try to pack just one theme then it's easier to take all that goes with it
Happy Monday!

Happy Tuesday everyone...just checking in before we watch a show. Been a busy 2 days and tomorrow stitches come out...yay. Hope the surgeon says I can get back into life although I am enjoying time at home now crafting but will still do it.
Lynn, I also organised my papers and embellishments a couple of years ago by colour and it was well worth it. Now I can easily go to the colour I want. I also keep my scraps by colour in plastic sleeves and that works well too. I spent today tidying up my craft room and taking items, with hubby's help, from the dining room table. We can see half of the table now..well sort of but it's all ready for me to scrap. I also fixed up my compost VSN card and put rose petals on, more colour to look like vegetation and hid the mouse so just his head pops out...looks much better.
I hope we see you next month...I daren't look at other sites for challenges. I made a list today of all the challenges I would like to still do. I think there's 2 pages of them, scrapping and cards....eek! I am committed to doing them....one at a time and just added today's colour challenge. I shall look out for your wonderful LOs.
I also can't believe February is nearly over...where did it go? We have 2nd son's wedding early May and it seemed to be ages away and will soon be upon us so I need to start getting organised for that next month. I have my dress but need shoes and check items for hubby. Exciting time.
Will check in tomorrow. Happy day everyone and hugs

Lela, Calvinball sounds like fun! Our favorite comic strip will always be Calvin and Hobbes. We even named our first 2 labradors this when we were first married. Best dogs ever! If it’s not against any site rules I’d be interested in you sharing the information.
On a completely other topic, I wanted to share with you all a very big thank you from the bottom of my heart for the encouragement and inspiration found among this group. It’s been just over a year that I have returned to scrapping and I am so happy that I have. Keeping accountable with the goals and all the various challenges gives me encouragement and inspires me to keep going.
This past week we buried my much beloved Mother in Law after her 7 year battle with Alzheimer’s. The scrapbooks I had done for her years ago helped her early on with recalling memories and this past week helped all of us grieve and remember all the fun loving good times when she was still whole. If they would have still been undeveloped, in a box, or on a computer that opportunity would have been lost. So, no matter what state your crop space is in, the years you are “behind” or the time constraints on your schedule. Keep forging on. Because what we are creating is absolutely priceless.
Blessings to you all. I may not be a constant contributor to the chatter, but I am here and catch up in the spurts I can and truly appreciate you all!
Oh Amy, thank you for sharing this touching story with us! What a beautiful thing you did. This is a warm reminder for us all. Peace be with you during your time of grieving and accepting all the love your family has and will share.
Try this link to the blog with the Calvinball - Get It Scrapped | Scrapbooking Ideas I signed up tonight. There is a lot to read and understand. It is free but you have to sign in with a user name, then just dig in and start reading.

Amy sending you lots of love and hugs from Oz. So sorry to hear about your MIL but your story reminds me of the importance of continuing to scrapbook our memories or at least print some photos out. I also share Joyce Ann's sentiments and hope that you and your family find comfort during this difficult time through the sharing of beautiful memories.
Joyce Ann...now I am going to have to check out the Calvinball link,....oh dear...just as I am intrigued. I have made my list of challenges and I forget how many there are, including card challenges, but they have run to 2 pages so far
I had my stitches out today and the surgeon has advised that I require another 4 weeks' healing...so still no golf, no body balance/pilates and no driving for the next 2 weeks. Hubby is my personal chauffeur at present so I can get out some days but not going to overdo it.
I'm not allowed to kneel, squat or twist my knee and just take things slowly. I am allowed to walk but short walks and have been given exercises to build up my knee/leg, including walking in the local pool. So I have the next 4 weeks to catch up on my craft. I'm also back into reading and still watching shows on tv with hubby so I am keeping busy and think I need a schedule so I can ensure I stay COMMITTED to completing my daily tasks. ;)
I wish you all a happy day. Hugs

Joyce Ann/Lela....I did check it out but I am going to pass on the challenge as I need to stay focused with the challenges on this site, and as you know, I can't even keep on top of these but need to stay focused ;) Thanks for sharing the info though and looks great for you ladies who do lots of scrapping/card making.
When I opened Debbie Hodge's site, I thought...I'm already registered with this lady.
A few years ago I registered to do her free classes and they gave me the spark to start scrapping again after a drought. Once I had completed them, I was receiving too many emails advising me of special offers....classes....and I didn't want to pay. It wasn't just this site but I was registered at many sites all over the world and was sinking in daily emails. I've spent the past few months unsubscribing and just sticking with a couple that I love.
When I saw the free classes again....guess who registered ...I thought it may help me get some ideas and focus again and I do love Debbie Hodge's work LOL.
I wish you all luck with the Calvinball challenge...and I may check the threads out from time to time.
In the meantime I am into the challenges on here...:p
Happy day my dear friends on SCS.

Do be careful with your knee! You don't want to start all over again!
When we stop and think about how much work our knees do for us...whew.
I do like that schedule to keep yourself on track. As long as we remember to look  at the list, it helps greatly.
Been off SCS for a almost a week and so much has happened! Was working in my “happy place” (will post in a little while) and then had to give my house some attention…the ugly word, clean it. Since I was hosting the “Bridge Group” at my house thought I should clean it up a little. Hubby wants to know if I can host the Bridge Group once a month…let him know that the vacuum cleaner doesn’t care if it’s male or female that runs it … it will clean the same!
Jayne … hope your knee is doing better and that hubby’s BP is getting under control. Another 4 weeks sounds like a long time, but remember if you overdue it the healing process will take longer. Over a year and half ago my husband had 6 stings put in and it has taken forever for him to feel better. They finally got his blood pressure medicine figured out and his inhalers (asthma/COPD). In December he had to have another stress test and the results were his heart is fine, just need to work on the weight. But through all this I have to say I have the best husband and he completed redid my craft room for me. I can’t believe how much stuff I have accumulated over the years and these stash challenges are motivating me to use what I have and not buy more (it’s hard thought when you see some pretty paper).
Amy … Hugs and prayers to you and your family. I’m so sorry to hear about your MIL (Alzheimer’s is a horrible disease…I watched what my mom went through with her sister) but the memories you created for her and your family is why we do what we do. I so agree with you – the encouragement and inspiration found among this group has really helped me to get my mojo back. Like you I was gone from scrapping for awhile due to husband’s health issues and some other personal family issues. The challenges have inspired me and with having to meet my goals each month I might get my granddaughter’s books caught up.

Another 6 pages done ... so excited not only met my goal but it exceeded it by 1 page! This time did some of my oldest granddaughter. Have 3 granddaughters and have only scrapped for 2 of them and the youngest is 8 months old ... I need to kick it into high gear and get caught up!
Happy Thursday everyone.....the sun is shining this end.
Melissa....I keep getting the robot requests but have been ignoring them...l:shock::rolleyes:
It's March here....has anyone seen a rabbit yet? None this end ;);) Hugs

Thank you all for your kindness. I have been blessed beyond measure by my MIL constant example of how to live life with Joy each and every day. I didn’t do an OLW word, but if I were to pick one it would be Joy. Choose Joy... it is actually a decision we can each make daily for ourselves, not something that just happens. Love to you all.
I did reach my goal this month, thankfully got there early since circumstances would have prohibited that later in the month.
Feb 21/20. YTD 38/125
Such a blessing to me to have all of you here, when you can, of course! You are all a joy! Lynn and Jayne - get better and take good card of yourselves - you must love your self by tending to your health needs always.
I got confused when I went into the Calvinball too, thinking I was "signed up" but actually there are two different sign ups. Being signed up with the Get it Scraped site and signing up on the blog for this Calvinball event are two different things. But, it's all good - still I will do what I can, take inspiration where I can and hope I get more pages done.
I still count SCS and this place among you all, my home!

this month has been a mess for me..so I created a March page divider reminding me to renew myself and my commotment to my word. The pink is so you can see the border against the white
Sorry I have not been around more but I have been busy scrapping this month!!! With 25 pages done for the month, that brings me to 45 YTD.
Hope to be back to catch up on reading as I won't be scrapping much in March... too many other things to get done!!
It seems as though most computer sites have opened to advertising. I see LOTS OF IT HERE . Not my favorite thing...... I can see I won;t be visiting often with all that mess going on all around me!!
Hi everyone....I haven't had any strange pop ups today...just the Shein ad as always. No robot questions...yet.
Sharon (sewflake)...so happy to see you. Wow you sound as though you've been busy. Hope all going ok.
Thanks Michele for your kind comments. All going ok and hubby is much better now. His bp was ok and bloods. Just waiting to find out why he is still having headaches.
Happy scrapping...been a busy day this end and I don't know where it's gone...feeling very tired. Enjoy
