I just dropped a TON at IKEA -- $2000 + in one weekend to totally redo the laundry room and my craft room. And I still have two more items to buy that were out of stock. But I have taken a YEAR to plan out the two rooms and I'm getting really excited, if I can just finish emptying it so we can paint the two concrete walls and put the laminate floor in.

I thought for sure I would go with the Expedite like I have seen in so many awesome studios in the gallery, but I surprized myself and went with Billys with half-height doors -- I want to be able to hide away a lot of what I have, and since I am in a windowless basement room, I wanted a lot of white to lighten it up. And I knew I needed the Beenos to hold stamp sets. Plus I already have 14 Jetmax cubes and couldn't see myself getting rid of them (though if I DIDN'T have them already, I would look at the Store in Style brand instead -- larger and much more durable - if you can find them)

Try the Galant file cabinet... if you leave one of the small drawers out and place the paper rails in the wide position, it holds 12 x 12 paper!! I got three to place side by side and they will make my cutting station.. big shot, papercutter, and cricut.

another tip I got here is to use a shoe cabinet to hold 12 x 12 paper - the Stall has three compartments each divided in half:

Mine hasn't been assembled yet so I will show you where I got the idea:

And if your room is small like mine, I found a great laptop desk that mostly folds away when not in use:

anyway, hope to finish the room in the next 2-3 weeks and I'll post a photo.

I still wish I had time to play -- still moving everything OUT of the room so we can put in the new flooring!

Does this shelf hold 12 x 12 scrapbooks? I want one or two of those shelves, but only if they will hold a scrapbook.

My new Expedit shelf holds my 12x12 SU ring binder albums...only four comfortably in one cube though.

I love ikea!

Those shelves are a perfect way to store your stamps! They have such great storage stuff don't they. I get all warm and fuzzy just thinking about their storage gear!

Though here in Aus my closest store is a 4 hour drive :(, so I don't get there as often as I'd like (to my husband's relief LOL).

Hi Dotty Teapot, I am in Melbourne.
I too love Ikea and now live within a 40 min. drive of 2 stores. It all depends on if I turn left or right at the end of my driveway.

Don't worry, until the one "close by" opened this summer I had never been to one either. Plan for an overwhelming all-day experience! I think the best idea ever is the play place for kids.... Awesome concept!

I have a huge bonus room that has no closet, needs to function as my office and craft space. I have an Expedit I am using as a half room divider. I plan on getting a Pax closet system. One problem is the ceiling slopes to 5 feet so I can't get anything tall. The hardest part for me is that Ikea is 6 hours away and we don't have a vehicle large enough for all the stuff I want. But... I have found a company who for $250 will pick up and deliver anything I order online. So I am taking careful measurements, sorting, and planning. Then I will place one huge order for office and craft furniture. Can't wait!!

We're going to Ikea in New Jersey weekend after next. We're going for our daughter's engagement party and Ikea is only 50 miles from her. My 2nd trip, and yes, I've started the list. I'm getting a small sofa sleeper for my craft room. It opens to a full size. I also have 3 babies to shop for! Woohoo!
