You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
No one really likes limits. But, if we were to be honest with ourselves sometimes it's good to limit ourselves to just one of something. For instance, just one piece of cake or one chocolate chip cookie!;)
So this week I have a few limits for you.
Your challenge is:
-use only one photo on your layout
-use only one word for the title
-use one sheet of cardstock
-use one sheet of patterned paper
There are no limits on your embellishments.
This challenge is worth 40 points through Sunday February 1st. After that all layouts submitted will be worth 20 points.
Bonus points:
-upload your layout before Tuesday January 27th 11:59pm EST and you get 80 points -first 5 members to complete the challenge, upload it to the gallery and come back here and post a reply with a link to your layout will receive an additional75 points -use your stamps to create a background on your cardstock for 30 points
Important stuff: This challenge may not be combined with any other IFC contest challenges. Please be sure to post a reply in this thread with a link to your completed layout. If you do not know how to post the link be sure that you still post a reply stating you have completed the challenge for every layout that you upload. Please use the keywords IFC24 in the keywords field when uploading your layout. (putting the keywords in your title does not guarantee it to go in the challenge gallery) Please include a brief description and be sure to state if you have used any techniques that gives you bonus points. (for example- I used my stamps to create my background on my cardstock) This helps me and will insure that you get credit for everything.
You will find all layouts created for this challenge HERE
I can't wait to see what you all do with this one!!!:p
If you are new to the contest you can find all the details HERE. Have a great week!

Good Morning! Awesome challenge! I chose a photo of my dd in second grade.I used a doublesided pattern paper. I used one sheet of yellow cardstock. I hand made flower embelli's using stamps and both sides of paper. I used ribbon and brads. I stamped the cardstock to make background of bottom half of lo. Thanks.

This was a great challenge for me because can I just share.... " I don't care much for single photo lay outs, I think it is a waste of Space". But every once in a while you just have to put things together that way. Single photo pages are my challenge, so I hope you all enjoy...

I agree with you - but I don't much care for single LO's period. I am a DPS kinda girl, but since scrapping with you fine ladies, I have completed SEVERAL single LO's and they are starting to grow on me. ;)

Here is another page from me today.... This was a great way for me to get caught up on all those single photo have-to's that have been stacking up!
Kindergarten Days!
Oh my goodness...thank you for not limiting the embellishments...I would have died right there. Off to put my thinking cap on for this one...fun though!
Jen just wanted to say hope you are having a better day! This is going to be a great challenge as I just last week discovered this box of "old" pictures that I have never scrapped! Happy scrappin everyone!

Here is another page from me today.... I have to stop and get my family some lunch, I would rather scrap today... My Throat is raspy and burns, I think I am getting sick!
I just thought that the DP from CM looks like more than one sheet but it is not. Their sheets all have at least two designs on them. Jenn let me know and if it is not allowed I will stop using it!

Here is my entry for this week's challenge. I used 1 piece of colonial white CS (the base of the LO) and one piece of pattern paper. It was double sided so I turned it over for contrast. You can see that it is the same pattern. I used this paper for the board pieces and the photo mat. I stitched the center pieces of the boarder. I stamped the background and the one word title. The picture is my Grandmother in 1907 when she graduated High School.
I don't want to sound mean or anything, and I haven't posted yet so I can say this without prejudice, ALL the pages are lovely and I'm sure ALL the ladies worked hard on them, but the comments don't seem fair, I do my best to give every lady an encouraging comment.... that's what were here for isn't it, To share and encourage one another in this awesome art called scrapbooking? Can we take the time to do that? I plan to, how about you?

Thanks Jenn! This photo has been sitting in the photo box since Summer and I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do with it. I'm glad I got to scrap it!
Ok, this was a tough one for me. I was really tempted to use a 2nd piece of paper! Anyway, I stuck with the challenge, and here is what I came up with this week. Thanks for looking!
