Lauri and helpers,
Thanks for a great day! Always well run and as always lots and lots of great ideas, swaps and shoeboxes! Pat, I just had a chance to really look at my SS gift. Such an amazing amount of work and great story! Where did you find the Alice paper? Thanks again to all.

Lauri and Helpers,
Thank you again for a great day!!! I loved all the projects that we did.
Kuddos to you and all your helpers, that was a lot of prep work, and everything was cut prefect!!!
Looking foward to next year.
thanks again,
Rose

I have to say all that paper cut to perfection. I'm told it was by lauri.
loved the projects. a few newbies at my table. nice projects.
still need to peek at the details on all the swaps.
I was crazy enough to be in all swaps. so a lot to peek/drool through.
You are very welcome and yes, it was me who cut the paper. I hate it when paper is not cut correctly, so I do my best to get it right - thanks for noticing!!

You are very welcome! As I just told Gayla, I'm over the top about paper being cut correctly, so thanks to you, too, for noticing. It makes me feel so much better to know that there are at least two others of you out there that share my neurotic paper cutting issues!! Admitting it is half the battle, right?

Thumbs up

Thanks Lauri, I am so glad to be in the company of an OCD perfectionist like me. The club of two has just grown. You are definitely to be commended for all the papers you cut to perfection. I was able to complete the 'make in takes' because they were cut so well. Glad I didn't have to take them home to 'tweak' them. You and your helpers were fantastic. A gazillion "Thank You's" to all of you! You too, Carolyn! Thanks. Marie

Noticed! I was drooling. And am very jealous. I can't cut a straight line. Let alone 1,000's of them. I'm always blame the paper cutter. That's way I own more than 6 of them!

I have tons of paper cutters as well and I always use the Stampin' UP table top one that is retired - I was just thinking how I should have gotten a spare before it retired. It is my favorite by far - if it ever breaks, I'm in big, big trouble!!

Gayla,
It's called The Recycle Shop and it's on Blossom Rd. Here in Rochester. It isn't free, but usually quite reasonably priced.

Gayla,
It's VERY hit or miss, so I'm not sure if I'd make a special trip or not. I have not had a bit of luck there in forever, but the next trip could be the jackpot - you never know. On the other hand, if you decide to check it out, let me know, maybe I could meet you there!!

Hi Lauri,
Great job Thanks for the great Saturday program! I learned some new tricks and techniques! Love it!

I was wondering if I might be able to get 65 of those plastic containers for covering? Please email me at the email address that I contacted you before the fun day. Thx

Default Boxes

Unfortunately, the box situation is grim at best. They only go through around 60 a month which does not accumulate very quickly when people want such large quantities. I honestly have to say that it is unlikely I will get more than 5 or 10 to give to any one person. The person who I get them from wishes to remain anonymous, but is requesting that each person donate $1.50, as a thank you for the time and it takes to transport and distribute them, for each five they receive to benefit the gathering next year. She did mention that you can purchase these on line as well if that interests any of you. I will update you all when I have more to distribute. Please send an email to [email protected] if you would like to be added to the list.

Thanks,
Lauri

Considering all the 'make'n takes', freebies, door prizes, delicious food etc that we get at these 'get togethers', $1.50 seems a very reasonable price to pay for 'extra' items! I would have gladly paid for these on Saturday.

Thanks for your comment - I was half worried how it would be received. I never gave the donation thing a thought, but it does take work to get them transported and distributed and extra pennies for the gathering is a nice thing as well!

Default Web site for plastic cases

Wow, these are mighty pricey! If anybody happens to find them cheaper, please feel free to share.

This is cheaper about $1.67 each in packs of 20.

http://www.pcrush.com/product/Tape-C...MPTY-CASE-20PK

Looks like a good deal for people wanting to share an order. Did not check to see shipping charges. :-(

Thanks, Marie. It's too bad that there isn't discount for bulk ordering so a bunch of you could go together and get a better price.

A pair of small pink handled EK Success scissors was found at the end of the gathering - if you are missing them, please let me know!

The cases you received at the gathering are a done deal. We are just asking for the donation for any additional.

I just visited the Secret Sister get together site. Thanks Lauri for setting up the 2013 Secret Sister site. It will be great for thanking my SS for the cards that I receive.
